A beautiful spacious house with incredible year-round panoramic views of the Potomac River. You'll enjoy the convenience of a a short path from the front porch to the river and towpath. From there you can hike less than a mile along the CNO canal to the Harpers Ferry footbridge where cafés and pubs await you. One block to Guide House Grill restaurant and River &Trail Outfitters for tubing and rafting. Or walk across the bridge to Harpers Ferry Adventure Center for rafting, tubing, zip lines and micro brewery

Host is great and so is the property

The property is beautiful. A great view of the river, multiple porches, and lots of space. A perfect get away with lots of fun things to do close by. Also great just to hang out. Felt like home, would recommend to anyone. Michael was very communicative and answered all my questions very quickly, and even recommended fun things to do in the area.

Perfect in every way.

We were nine women ranging in age from 79 to 81. We loved the house. We could be spread out when we slept and gather in two large spaces on the second and third floors. Most important to us was the attitude and friendliness of the host. Thank you for perfectly perfect time.

Beautiful and Convenient

The house was amazing, great views and a great layout that allowed for us to hang as a group or have some privacy. Very convenient to everything we wanted to do; Harper’s Ferry, Ziplining (or rafting based on time of year), and the Brewery that we went to on the last night felt like it was almost walking distance. Definitely recommend and would stay again in a heartbeat.

Beautiful Property & Very Responsive Host!

The house was a perfect size for my group of 10. We stayed for my birthday weekend and the house was very stocked with cleaning supplies, sheets, pillows, towels, etc. Michael was very responsive and even sent a huge list of recommendations in the area. If I'm ever in the area again, I will definitely be staying here!!!

Beautiful and comfortable home

The home was beautifully decorated with comfortable and plentiful seating. Bedrooms were all cozy with good beds and good lighting, We loved the three decks with the views of the Potomac River, even with the rain and fog.

This house was better than the description. Check in & out was so easy. House was the best stocked house we’ve ever stayed in! Michael’s response time was awesome! Very clean & had an amazing view. Beds/bath worked perfectly for our girls trip. Loved this house & location!

The location was awesome, the views from the balcony were awesome and the house was very close to Harper’s Ferry and a local brewery. The house was very clean and had a well kept interior with plenty of extra towels and sheets for all of us (group of 8 people). The host was also superb, giving lots of good local recommendations. Perfect stay

This was hands-down our favorite VRBO/vacation home that we’ve stayed in. Between the views, the decks, cleanliness, comfortability, and the fact that it was completely stocked with everything we needed, it was perfect! We got married 20 minutes from the house and had our whole bridal party stay there with us. There was enough bedrooms, bathrooms, and just space in general for everyone to feel comfortable. We will be back!

Fantastic

We absolutely loved our stay! The house had great accommodations for 10 adults. The booking process and entry instructions were seamless. The house was exactly as described and the kitchen was stocked with many helpful supplies. Michael the host was so kind offering many suggestions of nearby attractions, restaurants, etc and responded to questions in a most timely manner. I highly recommend this property!

Wonderful Host and Home

From first reserving this wonderful home to our last day leaving the host was responsive, warm and helpful. The house was everything stated in the advertisement and more. Wonderful location with 3 decks overlooking the Potomac with enough rooms to allow all of our group of 4 couples their own space. The main floor with kitchen and dining area is a great gathering place for mingling and preparing/eating meals together. Our family gets together once a year and this was by far our favorite home and host. Harpers Ferry holds much to do and see!

REPEAT STAY

This was our second time staying at Mike's house overlooking the Potomac River. The layout of the house is perfect for our family of ten. We love the view of the river, tubing, fishing, exploring Harpers Ferry and the C&O Canal. Being able to walk to Harpers Ferry, avoiding traffic and parking hassles is a HUGE bonus. Thanks Mike for everything, Lord willing we will be back next year!

Wonderful house

We really enjoyed our stay- despite a rainy weekend we were able to make the most of being mostly indoors. The house was clean and spacious, plenty of room for all of us. Quite a bit of lady bugs and stink bugs, but thankfully Michael gave me a heads up and there was a vacuum provided to get rid if of them. The kitchen was well stocked and there is a grocery store nearby. Michael was very helpful and flexible as well. Overall we enjoyed our stay very much!

Amazing!!!

This beautiful 3 story home provided wonderful views of the Potomac. The kitchen had everything we needed and all we had to provide was the food. Well stocked extras in the kitchen. Home was extremely clean upon check in and the owner was very easy to get ahold of when we had a minor issue. Beds were very comfortable!!! Plenty of space to gather together or enjoy the quiet for our family of 9. Very accessible to Harpers Ferry. Loved our time here!!!!!

Great place for family

We were looking for a place that could accommodate our family of 10 people ranging in age from 7-65 and had lots of things to do. This place did not disappoint.The 5 bedroom, 4.5 bathrooms as well as two living rooms and three decks gave us all plenty of room to spread out. The home was clean and well appointed and Mike was very responsive to our requests. We chose this house for its proximity to Civil War battlefields and history and the River. The kids had a great time splashing around in the Potomac, and the older ones got a good taste of the history of the area. Different groups of us enjoyed Crystal Grottoes Caverns, Gettysburg, the town of Frederick, and Antietam as well as Harper’s Ferry. We couldn’t have asked for a better place!

Family Visit in MD

We had a wonderful family visit in Maryland. Some of our family stayed in the rental home and others live nearby. The house is able to accommodate a large number of people provided you have no more than 4 vehicles - this worked for us. The house was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen was adequately stocked. The view of the Potomac River from the 3 balconies was icing on the cake. The photos cannot begin to do this justice. Our host was extremely helpful with a long list of activities available in the area. There was a real Christmas tree set up and decorated upon our arrival - what a pleasant surprise! We did some local hikes on the Appalachian Trail and spent a day in DC, traveling in via the Metro. The C&O Trail is just down the hill from the house - very convenient. Also visited nearby historic Harper’s Ferry and some wineries in the area. There is a little bit of a bug problem - stink bugs and lady bugs in the house - but this was a minor issue for us. We would highly recommend this home to anyone with a large group visiting this area.
