Amish Sunset Cabin at Wolf Creek Guest Ranch

The Amish Sunset Cabin was originally a Corn Crib, built in the mid 1800's in Ohio, before being rebuilt into a very beautiful and unique Timber and hand hewn peg Cabin using the original timber, here on site at the ranch. It is a favorite, with our guests. This cabin has a kitchenette that is furnished with dishes, hot plate, microwave , small fridge and a coffee pot.
Sit back in an old fashion rocking chair with your favorite beverage on your private back porch overlooking wildlife areas. Great for bird watching with lots of deer and other wildlife passing through. This cabin is so private and quiet you will think you are really remote, while being very close to both Fredericksburg and Kerrville. This ranch has plenty of wildlife and birds to keep you looking outside for what you might see next.
Wolf Creek is a working horse ranch and home to Kerri April, a Happy Horse Happy Life Horsemanship Professional. We have a pony pasture for you to interact with the ranch miniature horses, Rowdy and Smokey along with the petting goats, Goaty and Rosie.
Enjoy your private outdoor patio with a grill for a bbq. We also have a swimming pool, that is shared with other guests, a fire pit and walking trails to the catch and release fishing pond. Nights are beautiful here with a magnificent night sky. The stars are stunning and seem so close that you could reach out and touch them.

The stars at night are big and bright...Deep in the heart of Texas!

Enjoyed the stay at this authentic country cabin especially sitting on the porch and enjoying the sounds of the birds chirping while sipping on my morning coffee. The best part was the amazing view of the stars in the night sky with my sweetheart by my side.

This property is beautiful. The house was perfect. It had started to rain when we arrived and we just sat on the covered porch and looked out over the property. So peaceful. It was perfect for a couples getaway. Plenty of space and only 15-20 minutes from town. Could have spent a few more days just enjoying the property with the pool and animals. Only thing I would change is maybe a heavier curtain to block out the light from the street lamp. We will be back!!! Recommending to friends!!

Great getaway!!

Loved this property! Great getaway for my wife and me to celebrate her birthday. Close enough to Fredricksburg to make it convenient, far enough away to really enjoy open space. Will definitely stay here again.

Beautiful Property, Peaceful Getaway

It was a great getaway, peaceful and beautiful. The only complaint I have is that the listing isn’t clear that you will be sharing walls with other guests so I wouldn’t call it private. Other than that, it was a great weekend.

Perfect get away

So much fun. Booked sorta last minute for a covid free hang the pool is great and the animals especially the goats are really sweet. Will deff be back

Lovely place and view.

Out of the way place between Kerville and Fredericksburg with nice view and sweet animals. Very clean. Beautiful property with a wonderful owner. The price was economical. When I booked on VRBO, I didn't realize the wonderful house was a duplex until I clicked the "book" button. My mistake. I definitely would stay here again and bring my family. If I just come again with my spouse, I would probably book the Civil War cabin, as it stands by itself with a little more privacy for couples. Or, you could completely book both sides of the Amish Cabin and have it all to yourself if you were just a couple wanting to get away.

Peaceful

It was absolutely perfect! I plan to be back in Fredericksburg and I wouldn't stay anywhere but this property! Loved all the animals and just the peacefulness out there!
