Located ¼ mile from the Bush Point boat ramp and beach, this bright mother-in-law apartment has been remodeled to offer privacy from the main house. It offers a westerly view that can be enjoyed from your large windows, your private deck, or the expansive front lawn.

The 600-square foot apartment sleeps 3 in 2 bedrooms with a queen and a twin. The queen bedroom is open to the living room; the twin bed is in an enclosed room off the queen bed area.

The kitchenette provides a 2-burner stove, fridge, microwave, toaster, toaster-oven, Foreman grill, air fryer and coffee-maker, as well as a small outdoor propane grill. Any 1 of these can make up for the lack of an oven! Also available are WiFi, streaming TV, DVD, VCR, and library of tapes, discs, books.

Your dog will love the large front lawn. Hikers will love the proximity to S Whidbey State Park. Everyone will love the easy access to beaches, restaurants, shopping and all that Whidbey Island has to offer.

Discounts for longer stays: a week is 10% off, a month or longer is 30% off. Month-long stays don't require WA state tax so that adds another 10.8% off.

Dogs are welcome for $30 *per dog* for stays a week or less. An additional $30 per week beyond that. And since VRBO only offers 1 field for dog fee, the amount for each additional dog or weeks will be collected on-site. Sorry, no cats.

Great little place

Enjoyed a birthday weekend here. Well stocked, cozy, clean, clear directions everywhere, AMAZING views of the Sound, pet friendly. Bottom line: would stay again and would recommend to others!

Weekend getaway

My husband, our border collie, and I traveled to Whidbey Island from Seattle for a quick weekend getaway. Rebekah’s property was perfect for our visit to the island. Whidbey Island Tranquility

Very well provisioned, tranquil accommodation. Lovely view of the ocean and delightful ocean theme throughout the property. We enjoyed nearby parks and hiking during the day and then the warmth of the fireplace and playing board games in the evening. Thank you Becky!

Peace and quietude

Beautiful view from well equipped unit. Very restful , just what we needed Close enough to points of interest and good eating places Hard to beat Whidbey Island as a vacation spot. Beckey is a caring and helpful host. We highly recommend Spyglass House!!!

Delightful

We went to Whidbey Island with a family of nine and one couple stayed in this place with their small dog. Every one of us, though, would love to stay here in the future. The place is darling and clean, in a great location with a wonderful view. Becky is a fabulous host, and we really appreciated how incredibly gracious and communicative she was. We would wholeheartedly recommend it!

Great place to relax and enjoy

We had a wonderful stay in a storybook cottage atmosphere. The accommodations were more than adequate for our needs. We loved the fireplace; our dog loved it, too! The view was spectacular; Bev was attentive; and the island was a great place to explore and enjoy. Everyone was so friendly. Our only complaint was that our stay was too short--only a week. We look forward to returning.

Very relaxing stay!

I just got back from a lovely stay at this VRBO on Whidby Island. I was there for a wedding, but also getting over a bad case of jet lag. The host was easy to reach through the VRBO site. Freeland was so peaceful and the VRBO itself was very well thought out. I loved that it had a tankless water heater so I could have a long shower in the morning. Also, I was happy to see that they have an electric kettle, which I used for my morning coffee pourover. I'd definitely recommend this to others and would stay here again if I went back to the area.

Great property with beautiful sunsets over Admiralty Inlet and the Olympic Mountains

We really enjoyed the Spyglass House which satisfied our "Sixty three days on an Island " summer. Centrally located on the island to most of the attractions we wanted to take in. The property was just right for us and did accommodate the family guests that visited us. As the title indicates the daily views of merchant ships, cruise ships and even US fleet vessels (2 Subs), plus the sunsets from the deck were amazing. Lots of deer and rabbits roaming through the yard provided provided more enjoyment. Bush Point beach down the road was a twice a week walk with our dog while looking for looking interesting driftwood, shells and beach glass. Great rental!

Beautiful beach mother-in-law bungalow

I didn’t read through the entire description until a couple of days before our stay. I was worried about owner being onsite, just for privacy. However, Becky is kind and gracious and we had the best experience. She had put together a lot of cute signs around the place with explanation of how everything works. Although we were not in the home much due to my daughter getting married I was beyond pleased and slept extremely well. Everything was clean and well cared for. Thank you.

Ideal Guesthouse overlooking Puget Sound!

What an ideal guesthouse to stay in during our first visit to the state of Washington! Walking thru the sliding glass doors to relaxing music, a cheery, light, fresh, clean decor and windows completely across the west side of the house overlooking Puget Sound and mountains was a special treat. The open concept of the house made it very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with pretty dishes, pots, pans, utensils, 2-burner stove top, microwave, toaster oven, "George", toaster, coffee maker and more. Bathroom also well stocked with huge soft towels, soap, shampoo, etc. Rest of house nicely furnished; very comfortable bed and lovely fireplace and many games, books, videos and large TV. Becky (owner) and Bev (manager) were only a phone/text call away to answer our many questions about the area. Becky's info booklet was of great help. We enjoyed watching the freighters, cruise ships, eagles, hummers, sunsets from inside as well as outside on the deck or setting on the Adirondack chairs in the yard - grill, picnic table & hammock too!! The tulips and "Rhodies" (Rhododendrons) were in bloom and breathtaking. There are only "pros" to report about this guesthouse - we highly recommend. We certainly enjoyed our 2 weeks and hope to return.

The main thing i liked is how clean the place was. Enjoyed watching the boat traffic. It was easy to find. Great deck.Were there in November and the fire place keep it warm. Did not need extra heat. Great place to stay. Will be back.

VRBO on Spyglass

This is my second time staying at this lovely VRBO with a beautiful of the water. I’m hoping there will be more vacations here. Love exploring the beach at Bush Point looking for sea glass and Agates. Love watching the Anglers too. Great stay.

Excellent stay

We had a wonderful time and everything was as advertised. The atmosphere was very cozy and we appreciated having cooking utensils and a stovetop for making meals at the apartment. My one cautious comment is that if you have someone who will need to stay in the guest bed, it is quite creaky, so not great for anyone who is a light sleeper. Otherwise, everything was wonderful and there was an incredible guide for the area detailing everything from state parks to visit to local breweries and wineries. There are even vhs tapes for viewing 👏 Highly recommended!
