Sorry about the inconvenience. After trouble shooting we found out water pressure dropped because of water filter downstairs was partially clogged…water pressure back to normal after we replaced the filter cartridge.

Thanks for taking your time review your staying experience at our home. Cleaning fee for a 3 br/2ba house normally around $200. We try save extra $$ for our guest on housing expense, so we only keep a basic $100 cleaning fee without laundry service ( $50), there are washer /dryer and laundry detergent onsite, guest can just leave laundry in washer and dryer going at departure or pay $50 laundry fee without doing any laundry before departure.

Thanks for sharing your experience our place with other travelers. We have monthly mosquito spray treatment for entire yard from spring to Nov….did not expect warm weather in late Nov. We could add extra mosquito spray upon guests request when needed. And thanks again for the suggestions of the fence. We will increase fence height for big dogs soon.

sorry about the water. Surfside Beach water system is on mixed well water and city water, we have installed filter system to eliminate the sulfur smell in water, filter cartridge is designated last for 3 month, but we change it on monthly basis. yet the smell still becomes noticeable whenever there is rain fall...we will try our best to change filter as soon as we receive water smell report from our guest. Normally the sulfur smell will go away after new filter in service.

Sorry to hear that. Prior or post this rental, we did not hear anyone mentioned there is roaches inside dishwasher or over counter….no idea how they get inside dishwasher. I had pest control service come to the house investigating and treat entire house after we receive the roaches report. We did not receive any reports of roaches since then. AC service set up the drain pipe above staircase as 2nd drain which have water dripping, I asked AC guy re-rout the drain pipe to avoid water dripping to staircase. We replaced AC indoor unit recently, AC draining water has been directed into sink drain pipe, there should not be water dripping above staircase anymore.

We checked our outdoor water filtration system after guests departure and found out filter tank was set at by bass when tech came changed the filter cartridge prior to guest arrival. Without filtration the sulfur in water smells becomes noticeable. Sorry about the inconvenience. Surfside beach are on well water, like the spring water the water on Surfside has minerals which include iron and sulfur in it, iron will make the shows light yellow color, and sulfur gives the fishy smells. To improve the water quality, we have outdoor water filter with cartridge specially designed to remove iron and sulfur, and we also have indoor filter for kitchen sink faucet and shower head. After filter treatment, the smell and color in water becomes not very noticeable. However, this house is near wet land, after rain fall the smell becomes noticeable. We are planning to install multiple outdoor water filters soon to further improve water quality. The draw back for that, it may drop down water pressure for shower. We have installed high pressure shower head in each bathroom so it should bring back shower pressure to normal. The wet land is just cross the street, mosquitoes are more than other areas…we have been doing mosquito treatment on monthly basis and add treatment after rain falls. They are much better controlled now. It is late Jun now, we haven’t seen any more mosquitoes around.

Sorry about the inconvenience. We received the bugs bites report on the 3rd day after guests arrive, bugs might been brought into the house from last rental. We did have pest control for entire house before summer, however we can not do it on monthly basis since house has been booked back to back in summer. We have booked pest control come to get the entire house treated next day after guests departed. Luckily the infected area only limited to one bed, rest of the house are safe. We applied double mattress cover to each bed, zipper mattress cover under another mattress cover which will be washed after each rental. And all beds are stripped after guests departure, our cleaning crew will inspect each bed, wash mattress cover, bed skirt. We will do pest control more often to prevent bug incident happen again.

House rules are updated and current in the check is instruction along with house keycode we sent about two weeks prior to guests arrival. Since Pandemic many travelers prefer to bring their own sheets for their trip. We leave laundry service as option of $50 laundry fee. Otherwise, guest can leave last load of laundry in washer and dryer going at departure if they are running out of time. We can also give them extra 2 hrs pass check out to wrap up everything if there is no back to back rental. They can also leave dishwasher going at departure as well. Cleaning lady will help take dishes out. We do list few do & not to do things on house rules such as not bring bbq grill up on deck, and take out trash by street on Sunday and Wednesday night for trash cans so next guests can have empty trash cans to use. We never charge guests for just leave wet towels in bathroom. We purchased new bed metal frame with headboard recently, old headboard and box springs were put downstairs for contractor come pick up. They were hauled away already. It is cleared up downstairs. Apologies again for the confusion and inconvenience. We do encourage our guests contact us for any questions and concerns during their stay. We will try our best to coordinate and solve the issues.

Sorry about the inconvenience you encountered at your arrival. We sent house keycode when rental payment completed. VRBO also sent check in instructions from website one day prior to guest’s arrival. Guests may overlooked the message website. We normally send out a what to bring checklist as soon as rental is accepted. Mosquito spray and sun screen lotion 🧴 is a must to bring during summer rental. Unfortunately Sulfur smell is stronger from wells on east side of island. To fix that we installed special outdoor filter to eliminate sulfur smell and get ride of light yellow color in water contribute from iron. WiFi on island is not fast enough as in inland, we will ask WiFi maintenance tech reboot the router if it is two slow or lost connection. We have many rains in summer, I will place beach toys container with laundry baskets that will avoid the rain water hold inside the container. For 3 bedrooms/2 bathrooms house, most houses will charge $100-$150 extra for laundry service. We did charge laundry fee and only apply $100 basic cleaning fee. Since we have washer/dryer and laundry detergent on site travelers only need to put sheets/towels inside washer going at departure if they are running out of time on departure day. We will offer extended check out time till 1pm if there is no back to back rental on departure day so guests can take time wrap up everything. We can also help take care of laundry with minimum $50 laundry service fee. There maybe some misunderstanding from travelers, we do not ask our guests to clean house, they just need to wash dirty dishes or put them in dishwasher going, and take food out of fridge and put trash cans out to driveway. There are wave surges on island from time to time, and water pipe repair will going on by then, when it happens it will darken water color, the brown spot on mattress cover may occurred when cleaning lady washes mattress cover during pipe repair. I will have new mattress cover in place asap. We get the futon checked out and treated if we find any bugs. Thanks again for your input , we will try our best to get the house condition updated.

Thank you for been to our loyal house guest! Yes it is hard to keep up the maintenance against salty air corrosions, early this year we replaced fridge, washer/dryer, all faucets in kitchen and bathroom, towel racks in both bathrooms and master bedroom door to back balcony. New wood floor and sofa were installed as well. Also added 5 in 1 game table in living room for entertainment. Look forward to seeing you back soon!

We installed new vinyl plank floor for entire house, new counter and cabinets in kitchen, new sink in kitchen and faucets for kitchen and bathrooms. New door with built in blinds for back door at master bedroom to balcony. New 5 in 1 table games also added to living room. We are trying our best to keep the house in good shape and provide a better and fun stay for our guests. Look forward to seeing you back anytime soon in the near future!

Sorry about the late response. Since Surfside is on well water, sometimes water smell bad due to weather. We have installed outdoor water filter to entire house hold water filtered. We will ask city help flush water line if water smell going bad, that would also solve the water smell issue.

Sorry about the inconvenience. We had yard treated after receiving ants issues in the yard. Since we do not add laundry fee to the basic cleaning, so we will expect guest load up laundry and get it going at departure if guests leave in a hurry. Other wise mini $50 laundry fee will be applied so we can get laundry service requested in addition to house cleaning. Cleaning lady reported wet bedding and comforters on each bed so she need get them re washed and dried at laundromat…there may be some miscommunication between us. We normally do not charge laundry fee if guests get laundry going at departure.

Sorry about the inconvenience. We have the ants in yard treated and get yard spray for mosquitoes after receiving the messages from house guests. We encourage house guests report any issues they spot during the stay and we will try our best to get issues solved.

Sorry about the inconvenience you encountered during your stay. We have the yard mowing contracted to yard on biweekly mowing. In summer, grass may grow faster with more rain falls. We could add mowing upon house guest request. We do have Outdoor filter next to outdoor shower downstairs, cartridge is replaced every 3 months. Since Surfside are on well water, it has slightly Sulfur smell. To further reduce the sulfur smell, we also installed indoor filter over kitchen faucet and shower head. If travelers are not use to the water smell, we can ask city flush water line and we can also refresh outdoor filter and indoor filter ...it will help further reduce the water smell to minimum. However, we always encourage travelers pack up drinking water for the trip, or bring empty water jars to fill filtered fresh water from city hall which is free to island residents and house guests. Sorry cook top not working properly during your stay...we installed new cooktop oven after your departure. Cleaning lady must keep fridge door open to clean it after previous guest checked out, the fridge will take time to cool down again. During back to back rental, it will be not enough time for fridge to cool down enough within 4 hrs between rentals. However, we have another small fridge in living room for cold drinks. Cleaning service is not responsible for cleaning bbq grill...we count house guests help clean it after use. Hot charcoal can burn out the old grease easily from last use. We will check up all mattresses when rental slows down and have them replaced if needed. Thanks again for your feed back, we will try our best to keep up house rental conditions for our guests.
