Deposit never refunded by host!
I booked this apartment for 3 nights through Hotels.com. After booking, the host required an additional deposit plus cleaning fee, promising that the deposit would be refunded within 10 days after checkout. I was also told that without paying the deposit, I would not be allowed to check in, despite the booking being non-refundable.
More than 20 days later, the host has not refunded the deposit and has stopped responding completely. I treated the apartment with respect and followed all rules. I am simply asking for the return of the deposit as promised.
The apartment is still listed, which is very concerning for future guests.
