"The property is a bit “tired and old” (like us)!! The room was very adequate but only one outlet worked. A/C worked very well. Fridge was a welcome appliance, as was coffee maker. Outside pool is huge and very well kept. Linens and towels were sparkling clean! We were in #9 by the pool. It was perfect for us. Overall 3 great nights of relaxation!"
"I like that it’s close to the highway but not so close that you hear traffic, the proximity to restaurants and grocery is appreciated along with stores. The swimming pool and work out area is also nice when you’re away from home "
"Great staff and a lovely breakfast area.
Only thing to note is thatntwre is no elevator for the ssecond floor.so.if you have mobility cincerns, I'd ask for a main floor room. "
"I really liked the location of this property and the unique styling of the rooms. I stayed innthe Steampunk room. It had a beautiful high ceiling, with skylight and a large rainfall shower. The bed was comfortable with lots of pillows and it had a basket with some snacks of cookies and chips. A coffee press with instructions was an interesting addition. A memorable stay for sure. "
"There's a grocery store and Walmart close by, but for a quick to-go restaurant is more challenging to find. However, there are options for dining.
The beds and bathrooms were clean, the carpets could use some TLC by the beds. But for being right off the 401, quiet area and good options for breakfast. It did the trick "
"Shane is the host you dream of. My wife hurt her knee while we were out hiking and he sent his son in town to get the only pain killers she can take.Design of the cottage is perfect - wide open view of the lake with no cottages in sight! Just trees and great sunsets.Don't be fooled. Yes, there are several big campers around the cottage but surprisingly peaceful. If you like hiking, check our McIntosh Mill Trails. BeautifulIf you're looking to swim without being hindered by weeds, canoe or kayak across the lake. There are areas there where I was able to swim "lengths" for 20 min. "
Welcome to the Jemh Cottage in the Thousand Islands.
10/10 Excellent
"Our stay at the JEMH Cottage was everything we wanted it to be. Our one daughter and son-in-law were with us and their three daughters ages 17, 8, 6 and our younger daughter and son-in-law and their 1year old daughter. They all said they had the “the best time ever. Everyone had comfortable beds to sleep in, even the 1 year old had a pack-n-play available for her. The cottage was very clean inside. We enjoyed the boat and kayaks. The little girls enjoyed fishing right off the dock. The weather was perfect also. "
