Room was nice and clean, being able to check-in early was a plus. The bathroom is big for Japan hotel standards, was able to full submerge into the bathtub and relax after a long day of walking. The epsom salt packets were a nice bonus!

Services of front desk staff are excellent and commendable. They are not only courteous, responsive but also very helpful. For some reasons, we need a room closer to the lift and the staff kindly arranged the room for me. As it was too early for check in, I left my luggage there and surprisingly the staff already helped me placing the luggage in room for our check in and it was only 1pm. As we departed the hotel, we asked for their help to call a taxi. The lady at front desk guided us (and carrying our luggage) to the street to call a taxi. It was patchy rain at that time. Overall, the GATE hotel excels from the room and amenities to services. We will stay at this hotel again in our next visit.

Front desk staffs doesn’t communicate well in English. Staffs need to smile and greet hotel guests more. Setup of lobby on top floor is first time experience and need to take the lifts twice to enter and exit. Like the viewing area on 18th floor. Complimentary snacks and drinks are added benefit experience while relaxing there.

The location is super great, because of the direct connection from the subway station and the various shopping and food spots around. Additionally, the view from the lobby is good but it is little be uncomfortable to go-up the lobby floor when I go out.

We had the chance to stay at this hotel just days after it opened, and it was a great experience. The hotel was clean, as you would expect when it’s brand new. The breakfast was a highlight, especially the freshly squeezed orange juice - it was delicious. The staff were all friendly and helpful, making us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. Our room had plenty of space, easily accommodating four large luggage bags without feeling cramped. Overall, it was a great stay, and we’d definitely recommend it.

Lovely stay at the gate. Room is quite large for Japan standards. I love it that the shower and toilet are separate. Location is excellent, right above the Tenjin underground with lots of shops and food options. Lobby is on the 19th floor offering great views of the city. Breakfast is a semi buffet with 3 options to choose from. There is a lounge on the 18 floor for guest to relax with simple snacks and beverages. The only gripe I have is you have to change lifts to get to your room.

The service in this hotel is impeccable. Also, since the hotel is on the higher floors of a highrise building, the hotel offers a fantastic view of Tenjin area and if you are higher floor you can also see the hakata bay. Lobby and lounge has a place for guests to sit and enjoy that view too. The access to the public transportation is fantastic as the hotel has a lift that goes straight to the basement which connects directly to the Airport Line subway. Nanakuma line is also accesible through the underground shopping street. Plenty of choices within short walking distance for shopping and restaurants in the vicinity.

New hotel, clean and quiet room. Staff. Including trainee staff, restaurant waiters and waitresses, very friendly and considerate. Location is absolutely convenience, you can’t complaint a hotel which stations at the heart of the shopping area and at the same time on the top of the subway station.

Excellent reservation staff. Room was perfect. Wish the Japanese breakfast was all morning. Arrived at 8:30 am and it was already sold out. Would stay here again because location of hotel is also very convenient.
