An unexpected gem. The room was great and the hotel is off a quiet street. The bar and restaurant are very popular. It’s also close to Akihabara Station (5 mins or less). Do not let its proximity to Electric Town dissuade you. Would highly recommend.

Lovely modern hotel in good location in Ueno - near the action, but in a slightly quieter area. We picked Ueno for a 1-night stay after returning from skiing up north, as we felt being near the train to Narita Airport would be beneficial. While this hotel is near the train station, it is on the side furthest away from the Airport line, which meant for quite a long walk while dragging a ski bag. If you are travelling lighter than us though, it is worth the walk. Room was large by Tokyo standards and was well equipped (however only tea available, no coffee in the room). Excellent shower. Lovely smelling body wash. Very comfortable bed (decently firm). The welcome drink from a machine was a bit strange - it might of been nicer to be served a drink downstairs in the bar/restaurant instead, but still a comfortable seating area near the welcome drink location. Overall a brief but very pleasant stay.
