"Expérience catastrophique – cambriolage en plein jour et personnel complice ?
Nous avons séjourné une semaine dans cet appart'hôtel. Tout allait bien jusqu’au dernier jour. Ayant un vol tardif (22h35), nous avons demandé à garder la chambre un peu plus longtemps, ce que le personnel a accepté. Nous sommes allés bronzer à quelques mètres de l'appartement et, à notre retour, nous avons constaté un cambriolage : valise fouillée, baie vitrée ouverte (jamais utilisée), argent liquide, papiers...

"Die Beschreibung des Apartments ist sehr irreführend. Es handelt sich um ein Apartment, in dem 2 Zimmer vermietet sind und man sich Küche und Aufenthaltsraum teilt, wie eine WG. Die Zimmer Einrichtung ist spartanisch,die Küche ist vernünftig ausgestattet. Lage ist gut. Kommunikation ebenso."

"My family of 5 picked this luxury apartment for a recent trip to DAR. Check in was 4pm but we arrived at 4:45pm, but the apartment was still being cleaned. We dropped our luggages and left to allow the cleaning to be completed. We returned at 10:30pm only to find numerous live creeping bugs and a coakroach in one of the bedrooms and the hallway. My children freakout. We all spent the night in one bedroom which was bug free. The situation was remedied the next day after we complained to the host...

"Very nice place with everything you could possibly need including some thoughtful touches in the kitchen and storage room. By sea view, I thought it was closer to the beach, but was a few minutes walk through the village - was glad the property owners advised us to bring a flashlight because it was certainly needed at night. Certainly felt safe but was just dark, and you had to navigate some unpaved areas. Kiwenga is a very quiet area - perhaps a bit too serene for our taste but the apartment...

"This is a rustic property (and I mean that in a good way). If you want the authentic stone town experience, this is it. However, the WiFi isn’t the best. It’s due to the home being on the second floor and the literal stones of stone town prevent the network from connecting properly. If you’rea digital nomad like me, keep this in mind. "My husband and I split our time in Zanzibar between two places. Our first stay was a the KonoKono resort and in the over water villas. It was absolutely fabulous and honestly the nicest hotel room/villa we have ever experienced. We felt totally spoilt by the hotel and well looked after for our stay. The food was delicious! I have a severe allergy to garlic and gluten and they catered to my needs so I didn’t feel like I was missing out.
The room was stunning with a gorgeous view from the balcony. The cleanliness was impeccable.
The bed was huge and so comfortable too and we slept very well during our stay.
The floating breakfast was so decadent and really fun. We also loved the Tanzanian food night - fish masala curry was to die for!
The resort is also extremely close to The Rock Restaurant which is an incredible experience.
Charles was absolutely fantastic. He is a real credit to the team at the hotel. Jackson and Rosemary took great care of us during our stay too. Thank you so much!
Points to consider…
The road on the way up to the hotel was extremely bumpy but it would not deter us from returning. It’s just not ideal if you are planning to do lots of trips in and out.
Personally, if you are staying in the water villas I think I better system should be in place for transporting bags (like a buggy or something similar) the walk was lovely but quite long if you are carrying things. "

"The property is about 1hr 30mins from Zanzibar town, however is spacious and great place to relax. They have a private beach and the water is turquoise and white sand. Staff are multilingual and very professional and friendly. Alex, Abdul, Nasri and the whole team made our stay worthwhile and the all inclusive choice make the difference. Thank you and i cant wait to be back "
