Search Bed and Breakfast in Gabriola Island

"We’ve stayed here a few times. They updated in key areas. And it’s definitely a budget friendly place to stay. The beds aren’t the comfiest, but the kitchen is so handy. Kids enjoyed the pool. Everything is clean, well maintained in our opinion. Even though it’s a simple continental breakfast, real coffee would be appreciated, not instant 😅. But otherwise, it’s typical cereal, packaged muffins, boiled eggs, yogurt and abit of fresh fruit, breads with jellies and peanut butter and cream cheese to select from. Basic, does the job, handy with kids, grab and go. If you want a “real breakfast” you get a percentage off at the Ricky’s all day on the main level of the hotel. We will most likely always book here, as we have a lot of dieters restrictions and cook most of our own food, and spend most of the day out hiking trails etc. "

"The hotel lobby, corridors, and room was very dated, showing strong signs of needing an update. The bedding and bed was comfortable however the furniture in the room was very tired and somewhat mismatched. The balcony had a piece of plywood which I assume was covering a hole or a rotten section and the handrail was very loose, unstable. The bathroom was clean but worn out. The finish in the tub was worn through. The room was extremely loud as you could hear sounds of showers and toilets flushing from neighbouring rooms. The price we paid was in my opinion too high for what we received. I’ve stayed in several hotels in Nanaimo for similar pricing and found more modern, updated, and quiet accommodation."

"Comfortable beds but small pillows should be replaced by larger ones. Breakfast was simple even for a continental. Cereals are sugary and unhealthy and should be replaced by healthier granola. Staff were courteous."

"Nice, clean, newer hotel. Unfortunately, they have issues with their flooring being extremely squeaky. The flooring in our room was very squeaky, and the people above us were walking continuously and kept us up most of the night. I did mention this to reception when I checked out. There is a lovely sitting area with a creek behind the hotel. "

"Extremely overpriced room. The bar downstairs was so expensive same with the little store with 15$ candy. The air conditioner was so loud all night and the bed was so hard and uncomfortable. The pool is small and cold. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. Only good thing is the location."
