It was very well stocked with little extras and clean. The screened porch area is wonderful for relaxing as is the hot tub and fire pit area. We very much recommend the "Lodge". Our pup loved it too! Host Hannah was also very helpful and accommodating.

We celebrated a late family Christmas weekend at this beautiful property. It was definitely one of the nicest and cleanest properties we have stayed at, right down to the bedding and kitchenware, it even included dog dishes, treats and a dog bed. Can’t say enough about how much we loved our stay.

The house and the peaceful area around the house encouraged relaxation and fun with friends and/or family. We loved that 3 of the four bedrooms each had their own bathroom and still a fourth 1/2 bath for the extra bedroom and 2nd family room. When we were there, we spent most of our time in front of the fireplace enjoying the food and snacks spread all over the island and kitchen table! We were impressed by how clean the home was and comfortable the beds were. We hope we will be able to book again in the future.

Best Sleep Ever

Surrounded by the beauty of Galena countryside, in a perfect setting. The house had everything, but getting a good night sleep is always a major priority for us on vacation and this house has the most comfortable beds! We loved sitting around the fireplace every evening, as well. If I had one suggestion it would be that a Keurig coffee machine be added. Otherwise, it was one of the best VRBO stays we have had in sixty years.

Family Weekend Getaway

Our family enjoyed our 3 days at Walnut Grove. The home was clean and perfect for our family of 8. Kitchen and family room were open and comfortable for visiting. Nice to have the grill and kitchen had what we needed. We loved the privacy at the end of the lane. We used the firepit, played bags and kids rode their bikes on the driveway. Bonus to have the pool and activities at the Owners Club. Hope to come back next summer!!

Quiet neighborhood with lots of amenities

This house was so clean, updated and user friendly for a group of people with a nice and open concept living area. The neighborhood was quiet and very safe with lots of amenities to offer. There were wineries nearby, the house was a short 10 minute drive to downtown Galena where there’s shops and restaurants galore and the house offered access to a community center with pool, fitness equipment, indoor basketball court, etc with was really nice. I’d highly recommend it for a girls weekend or family getaway. Great accommodations and homeowner was helpful, friendly and very responsive.

Great stay in Eagle Ridge

We had a friend’s group consisting of 3 couples staying in Eagle Ridge for a Galena getaway weekend. We found this property to be very comfortable, and worked out great allowing each couple to have their own bathroom. The kitchen and common areas are perfect for playing games, communal cooking, and socializing. Beds are comfy and the fireplaces and hot tub were really appreciated on a cool weekend. Be aware the property and community have quite a few rules: for example, no shoes in the house, no outside lights after dark, no outside noise after 10 pm, must shower prior to using the hot tub and sign a separate hot tub rider. There are fees associated with violating these rules. We did not run into any issues with the rules, just make sure you pay attention to the rental agreement. The host was very responsive and even included a welcome gift upon our arrival. The checkout list is reasonable, you do need to take garbage to the central collection location about 1 mile away using your key card. We recommend this property for a great weekend in Galena!

Family stay for my wedding.

My Family rented a couple properties in eagle ridge for the weekend of my wedding. This house was for my immediate family and for me the bride to stay at the night before the wedding. The house was perfect. We were able to invite nearby family over for pizza, a game night and it’s where the girls got ready the morning of the wedding. We talked with the hosts ahead of time to make sure this was ok and they were responsive and assure that wouldn’t be a problem, they also allowed us to do a late check out for a reasonable fee. My parents were able to bring their dog Buster and really appreciated all the little details for him. We also appreciated the bedroom on the first floor with its own bathroom so my parents didn’t have to do stairs. The house was clean and came with thoughtful touches like bathrobes, little hotel toiletries and extra towels by the door for the hot tub. I didn’t get to use it, but my sister in law said it was nice. The only small ways to improve the guest experience would be that the grill is small and took an incredibly long time to cook anything. But that’s what ordering pizza is for! And that we didn’t have enough trash bags. You have to drive your trash to a refuse center and this is a bit of a hassle but the same for the whole area. I would come back here with my family, we had a great time thank you!
