Life on a Sandbar, in the heart of Seawall Blvd, is just one block from the beach where you can feel ocean breezes and hear waves. Our 1913 Coastal Cottage offers a tranquil backyard with a propane grill and Pergola conversation area surrounded by full privacy fencing, gas fire pit and Hibiscus bushes for relaxation after your fun-filled day on the island.

Are you ready to enjoy "Life on a Sandbar"? Then It’s time to start your vacation One Block from the beach, feeling the ocean breezes and hearing the waves? Our Coastal Beach Cottage was built in 1913 and is the perfect getaway for those seeking relaxation. Nestled one block from the Beach, our charming retreat offers a perfect balance of coastal style and modern comfort.
The open-concept living area features a welcoming space for family gatherings. With a large Dining table for cozy evenings playing board games, working on puzzles, or relaxing on the Sofa and Loveseat to enjoy TV or a movie.
The Outdoor space in the backyard includes a spacious Conversation area and fire pit under a Pergola surrounded by Tropical landscaping. We have an Outdoor shower for rinsing off after a day at the Beach. There is also a large front porch where you can enjoy your morning coffee while taking in the sounds of the Gulf waves.
Our Coastal Beach Cottage is in the heart of Seawall Blvd and within easy walking distance to the beach (1 short block), which allows you to embrace the coastal lifestyle. More Gulf waves, views and thrilling rides await at the Pleasure Pier, which is a short 7/10ths of a mile walk. Restaurants within walking distance include The Spot, The Brick House, Gumbo Diner, Joe's Crab Shack and other Restaurants!
We are the owners and look forward to welcoming you to our beautiful Coastal Beach Cottage! We are always available to answer any questions. All you need to do is bring your clothes, food and be ready to relax or explore beautiful Galveston Island!

Great Base for Exploring Galveston

We enjoyed our few days exploring Galveston and the cottage was a great spot to come home to. As in the photos, the decor gives total beach vibes and the bed was very comfortable.We didn’t cook here, but the kitchen looked fully equipped and the bathroom also had everything you could need.Hosts were great and I would recommend this cottage for a stay in Galveston.

Stayed to attend friends birthday party nearby for 3 nights. Hosts were great. Friendly and so accommodating. Everything you can possible need included other than your own food and drink. Great location other than on fairly busy street. Can walk to beach and several great nearby restaurants. Would definitely stay there again.

Beautiful cottage close to the beach!

My family had a wonderful stay in this beautiful home! We enjoyed the morning walks on the beach to watch the sunrise and great conversation around the fire pit in the backyard! The house is perfect inside and the owners have thought of everything to make sure you have a great vacation! I would love to visit again.

Beach House Getaway

Lovely location and plenty of commodities to help us enjoy our stay. The wagon full of beach toys was a great bonus, and we spent a good amount of time in the evenings hanging out in the back garden. Would love to visit again someday.

A beautiful Texas Thanksgiving!

We loved our stay at this quaint beach cottage! Perfect for our family and pup. The house is prepped for every single thing you could need- wow! A true home away from home. Even with a city electrical outage, they were on top of getting the power company out to fix right away with little interruption to our family gathering. Super grateful for the memories and can’t wait to be back!

Perfect place to stay near the beach!

We loved the property, including the back yard for our dog. Easy walk to the beach! The house has everything you could possibly need for your stay, including an ample stock of kitchenware and dog supplies. Beautifully decorated, plenty of resources for places to go, including dog-friendly restaurants. Ron and Carol are just the nicest folks you'd want to do business with - they even left us flowers and a card for our anniversary!

First Time in Galveston

We planned an impromptu trip to Galveston and saw this house on VRBO. It is a gorgeous cute home. The location block and a half from ocean as well as amenities, backyard, front porch,beds eveything was great. The owners were wonderful hosts and we couldn't have found a better place. Beautiful Beach Escape

This has been one of the best stays we've had. The house is beautiful and very well maintained. Every little detail has been considered. The amenities are fantastic. It's close to the beach, the Galveston pier, a community center, and a small convenient store. We will DEFINITELY stay here again when we're back in Galveston!

Cute house

Our stay was very pleasant, furniture comfy and decor is fun! Managers have generously supplied anything we needed. Fenced backyard is private and nicely furnished. The outdoor shower was great for our dog that loves swimming.
