- 10 minute bike ride to the beach, Jamaica Beach Swimming Pool (open Memorial Day to the first of August), playground & city park
- 20 minute drive to the Pleasure Pier, Moody Gardens, Schlitterbahn, the Strand & Sea Wall

Tortuga Cay is a place where families can bike to the beach on our complimentary 'beach cruiser' bicycles. A place where children can fish from our pier or kayak in the protected canals of Jamaica Beach (we provide kayaks & life vests at no cost). This is a place where parents can relax on the deck, knowing the kids & pets are playing safely in our fully-fenced yard; and a place where friends can enjoy a day of boating right from our slip, grilling by the water or relaxing on the deck.

Above all else, Tortuga Cay is a place to get away for awhile, relax, and enjoy life with each other!

Our private dock is equipped with an underwater fishing light to help draw in the 'big ones' after dark! Trout, red fish, drum, and several other varieties are frequently caught from our deck!

Fishing Guide & Boat Rental Service: If you're looking to hit the water for a guided fishing excursion or a dolphin watching sunset cruise, our professional guide service is available to pick you up right at our pier for a full day or half day bay fishing trip. Just walk right downstairs and hop on the boat... it doesn't get more convenient than that! Also, if you are interested in renting a boat during your stay, we can help you arrange a full or half-day boat rental at a special discounted rate for our guests!

Following an extensive renovation, Tortuga Cay now features beautiful granite counter-tops, glass tile back-splashes, all new stainless appliances, two fully renovated decks overlooking the expansive lagoon and much, much more. With three decks overlooking the water the home features water views from virtually every room in the house. The layout of the home makes it easy for families and groups to travel together; three bedrooms total with a spiral staircase leading to two bedrooms upstairs (and away from the main living area) and two decks adjoining the king bedrooms.

A note from the owners for parents traveling with small children... we have young children ourselves, so we know what it's like to travel with kids and have designed this home with them in mind. We've taken great care to ensure our home allows children to play safely AND allows parents to enjoy their vacation without constant worry. Lockable safety gates on both the upstairs deck and the fully-fenced yard help keep your children & pets safely away from the water and street. We also have a high chair and pack-n-play available for your use (just make sure to bring crib sheets).

Amenities include: 55' LCD TV, streaming Roku TV's (in living room AND king bedrooms) and complimentary high-speed wifi, washer/dryer, Moen adjustable shower heads with massage setting, Tempurpedic king mattresses, attached boat slip, deck ladder for swimming in the canal, 2 single kayaks and a tandem kayak w/ paddles & life vests, 2 beach-cruiser bicycles and a tandem two-person bike w/ helmets, beach toys, boogie-boards, all linens, towels, blankets, dishes, etc... all of this and more is included with your stay!

Pets: Your pets are part of your family and are always welcome in our home with no additional pet deposit. The yard has been designed to give them room to play safely and away from the water.

IMPORTANT HOUSE RULES! We want you to have a great stay but the following rules must be followed. Please review BEFORE reserving the home...
- This is not a party house. Prom groups and parties are not allowed at any time unless approved by the owner in advance.
- The maximum number of guests allowed on the property at any given time is 10 unless approved by the owner.
- Guests must be at least 25 years of age to reserve the home and adult guests may not rent the home on behalf of underage guests.
- No underage drinking
- No loud music or other disturbances to the neighboring residents
- No trespassing on neighboring properties
