House was well stocked and comfortable. Although 20 miles from downtown which had its pluses and minuses. We were very pleased at the small grocery store and a few restaurants nearby. You really can't beat being directly on the beach!

The weekend was amazing. The house is very comfortable. The amenities in the kitchen are just as described. The beach was beautiful. We are planning to stay here again soon. We had to contact the owner with a question and we got an immediate response.

Great west end location on an un-busy section of beach. House is far enough from the public entrances so it really feels private. Our teenagers enjoyed the hot tub and putting green. We had an issue with the AC and the owner sent someone the next day. They then replaced the unit and it worked perfectly! House was stocked with everything you could need. Would definitely return!

We were fortunate to have a three-day trip to Galveston planned when the city got snow for the first time in 21 years. The house was absolutely beautiful. Extremely clean, and very comfortable beds. The kitchen fully stocked with everything we needed to prepare three really nice dinners. Filets from Seven Seas Grocery one night, blackened shrimp another night, and redfish with crab (from Allex's) the last night. We had planned to use the grill for cooking, but it was WAY too cold. I was super delighted to find a beautiful cast iron skillet in the kitchen. (For those unfamiliar with Seven Seas and Allex's, I highly recommend both.) The gigantic smart tv and super comfortable seating in the den kept us entertained when it was too cold to go out. When it finally warmed up the day we were departing, the beach access made it super easy to walk on the snow-covered beach.While we were there, a minor, unavoidable maintenance issue arose, but the owner was super communicative and helpful.It was also too cold to enjoy the hot tub, but the downstairs area was absolutely lovely. We can't wait to go back when it's a little bit warmer to enjoy this area.

Fun and clean beach house that worked well for our family of 2 small kids, my wife and I, and my parents. Great location right on beach with nice unobstructed view and really clean and quiet beach out front. The house is well cared for and worked nice, but you will want to bring some basic items like cooking oil, dish soap for the sink, extra toilet paper (we ran out of what they supplied on day 3). We did have a real problem checking in since the lockbox they had the key in was jammed shut and the hosts only phone listed went straight to voicemail and then said full mailbox and wouldn't take a message. The VRBO didn't have another number for them either so it was a really lousy way to start our vacation trying to figure out how to get into the house. My father eventually got the lockbox opened with a pair of channel lock pliers he had buried in his car (the previous person had jammed the box so the pliers were able to squeeze it closed until it snapped back into normal position where the buttons worked again). VRBO really needs to have a backup plan in place though for guests who arrive and have no way to access the home, or to get ahold of the owners or a backup key. The hosts eventually called us a couple days later to apologize and say they had lost their phone and hadn't checked their email, but even though they were sincerely apologetic about it, it was still crummy service to not check in or give a backup contact method to guests that have spent thousands of dollars on a vacation.

Beautiful views, hot tub was user friendly, the high winds made it hard to use the fire pit. Customer service was amazing, they sent someone out to help with an issue we were having and came to a solution. I would recommend more linens such as wash cloths, more than 1 kit hen towel and pot holder. And a floor towel/mat for both bathrooms.

We had a great stay at the Kokomo house! Very clean, plenty of stocked supplies (kitchen, linens, towels, sand toys & other beach supplies, accessories, etc.)... Hot tub & putt putt game was a hit! .. Very short walk to the beach was so nice! .. Very quiet beach. Felt like we practically had it to ourselves. Fast internet. Really enjoyed drinking coffee every morning on the patio with the ocean view! Also, loved watching the moonrises at night. Highly recommended!

This beach house was a piece of Heaven on Earth. We absolutely loved the beach theme throughout the house. It was very cozy, had everything we could possibly need for our trip from shampoo to cooking utensils to beach towels, etc. The view was perfect, the beach was quiet since it’s about 25 min from Galveston town. We stayed during the last week of February which was very cool, so we really enjoyed the hot tub between our chilly walks on the beach. Our kids absolutely loved the bunk room with their own huge television, as well as the putting green, and large deck to play on. For the dog lovers, the house was perfect! We always travel with our dogs, but it’s hard to find VRBO’s that allow three, but these homeowners do, which we are so grateful for. But the best part, they have a fully fenced in area of their yard that is attached to the entrance of the home, so you can actually let your dogs out to use the restroom without having to leash them up every time. This alone makes us want to come back again. The fenced in yard goes around to the back of the home, near the fire pit, hot tub, and porch swings, so the dogs could still see us while we were outside too. Basically, the house exceeded our expectations, and when we had a snafu checking in because we were exhausted from our drive, the homeowner immediately answered our call and helped us. We just loved our vacation so much!

The house felt very warm and welcoming and the views of the ocean are amazing. Check-in was so easy it seamed like I must be forgetting to do something. The location is quite but there are several grocery stores, restaurants and downtown activities just a short drive away. I would highly recommend the Kokomo house to any friends or family who are vacationing in the Galveston area.

My first time in Galveston was an incredibly fortunate introduction. I’m obsessed with the beach (any beach to be fair🤣🙌🏼) and it definitely was a major plus that this chic house sits right on the white sand with a completely unobstructed view of the surf (heaven). I especially loved early morning walks with my dog, a few pelicans and the odd fisherman for company. Naturally I was sad to leave, but intend returning. Thank you.
