A dead cockroach was placed beneath the pillow of a bunk bed and not discovered til morning. Truly disgusting and unjustifiable. Despite the listing explicitly saying that there is a queen sofa bed, there is no such thing, just a normal couch. Host was extremely difficult to communicate with. Despite having already booked, he acts as if you are significantly burdening him by asking simple clarifying questions about booking info - which was necessary because the listing was incredibly vague in the first place. I highly recommend that the owner updates his listing to be clear about what is offered. His vernacular is dedicated entirely to obfuscation. You will need to ask the same simple question multiple times before finally getting a straight answer. We were not provided with check in information until nearly 7pm, 3 hours after the designated time, and only after I directly asked for it when it should be automatically provided at a certain point after booking and before arrival time. Despite its significant flaws, the overall property was close to the beach and a decently enjoyable stay if the glaring issues are ignored. This experience was highly professional and I am deeply disappointed. I will be pursuing a refund in whatever capacity is possible.
