Don't let your time here feel like it is 'Wasted Time.' As soon as you walk in the front door, all your worries will melt away and you can focus on the important things - grilling, fishing, swimming, and relaxing. Our house enjoys beach views from the front steps and the back balcony. Gaze off the back balcony to a tranquil pond with a sparkling fountain.

Our house is located at the beautiful Pointe West resort on the west end of Galveston Island. Pointe West is a master planned development with private beach and is a one-of-a-kind location on the island. Our house is less than a 5 minute walk to the beach and we are a 20 minute walk to the Beach Club, or a 2 minute drive in the golf cart. The Beach Club is truly a resort, with pools, a lazy river, hot tub, nature walk, restaurant, bar, fitness center, etc. The Beach Club charges $25.00 per person (4 and older) for the length of your stay. YOU WILL ONLY BE ABLE TO PURCHASE 9 WRISTBANDS.

'Wasted Time' is designed to make you and your family comfortable. Cable TV and a DVD player are in the living room, the master bedroom, and the bunk bedroom for your enjoyment. All TV's are also equipped with Netflix. You'll find wireless high-speed internet and long distance calls in the US at no extra charge. Feel free to pack light, we have a washer and dryer for you to do a quick load of laundry. ***PETS STAY FREE***

Downstairs in the garage you will find everything you need for the beach; chairs, canopy tent, boogie boards and a wagon to take it all with you. You will also find a patio underneath the house complete with picnic table, chairs, hammock, and a charcoal grill for you to enjoy. All you need to do is bring yourself, we have the rest taken care of. For those of you with small children, we also have a stroller and pack-n-play for your convenience. We also have a 6 passenger golf cart that IS INCLUDED in your rental rate. Please feel free to use it to go to the Beach Club or to explore Pointe West. **NOTE: the golf cart CANNOT be driven on the beach!**

Seven Seas Grocery Store is the closest fully stocked grocery store and is 7 miles from the house. The Strand, Pleasure Pier, Academy Sports, Walmart, Randalls, and the rest of Galveston is approximately 30 minutes from the house.

Great Stay!

Really enjoyed staying at this house. We always love the beach club and come to this area annually. The golf cart made the stay extra fun this year. Everything was great and we will look to stay in this house again next year.

Family vacation

Perfect Getaway for Thanksgiving

The house was just right for Nanna, Mama, toddler and dog. Nice neighbors. Easy walk to the beach. Great space and layout. Lots of thoughtful touches throughout.

Great stay

We (two teenage daughters) came for our spring break. The overall place was perfect for the 4 of us. We loved the resort amenities and being able to use the pools and the on-site restaurant. The location is a good 20 mins from the main drag of Galveston - we liked that is was a bit quieter and we could choose to go to the more active area of town. Highly recommend!

Family Beach Trip

We had a great time at this cottage. It is further from pools and beach club, but with the golf cart, it was more than fine. We had a few storms during our visit but we were able to stay entertained playing pingpong and hanging out on the patio together. We had a lovely time! Thanks!

Absolutely Amazing

The house was clean and probably the most well stocked with amenities I have ever seen in a vacation home. Would 100% recommend to anyone. Whether you are going by your self, a couples get away, or with family and friends, there is plenty to do or just peace and quiet! Host was extremely responsive and everything was just as good or better then listed.

Carocci - Galveston 2023

This is our 2nd year at this property and we had such a great time just like in 2022. Perfect location and the golf cart allows for much easier transportation to the beach and the beach resort. Morgan was fantastic as usual and so easier to communicate with and very responsive to our needs as well. We WILL be back!

Galveston - 2024

This is our 3rd time at this property and it never fails. Property is fantastic and being part of the Pointe West neighborhood adds an additional flair. Having the golf cart included on-site is a great added bonus. Morgan is always available and always keeps the lines of communication open. Another great Galveston trip in the books. We will be back next year!

Absolutely loved this place!

It is on the far side of the island, so it really does take some time to drive down to the center-but the beach access is WAY better and the beach club pools are phenomenal! Loved the house itself, the owner really has taken the time to try and put everything you could possibly need for your stay together. Lists of restaurants, beach toys, wagons, use of the golf cart for driving around the neighborhood. It was a wonderful stay. The power went out in the neighborhood on our last night there and the owner was very communicative with us about ETAs they were receiving from the power company. Loved our stay here!

We ad a blast and I especially liked yew laid back feeling and “help yourself” attitude of the owners! The golf cart for free is the best! We are the grandparents and LOVED the fact that it is not 3 story. Packing and unpacking was so easy. We could only find 4beach towels and before you knew it….there were 4 more! Thank you! ❤️👍

Great vaca spot!

We really enjoyed our stay. As other reviews stated, this home provides everything you’ll need for your stay and for the beach. The location is amazing and we really enjoyed the space under the house as well as the breeze off the back deck. When we had questions, Morgan was quick to respond. The AC is awesome and the extra fans were nice at nighttime. The master bed and bunk beds were very comfortable. The beach, which is super close, is the best I’ve seen in Galveston. The beach club pool was just okay (very murky and needed a good cleaning). We hope to come back again soon!

Fantastic Once Again!

We were there in early October and enjoyed the quiet beach. We were up before sunrise to make the very short walk to the beach to watch the sun come up. Great place for photographers. The floorplan is thoughtfully laid out, affording space and privacy. Beautiful furnishings. Ww packed light, knowing everything we needed (and more) for the beach was provided by the owners, even down to the beach towels. We hated to leave, so we didn't! We got in touch with the owner and it worked out that we were able to extend our stay. This was our second time to stay at Wasted Time, but it won't be our last!

Good overall!

Great location loved the golf cart so much! The beach was empty and they had everything we needed for ultimate beach and house fun. Kids were in heaven. There were so many massive mosquitos that attacked us every time we were downstairs… my 2 year old is covered in welts! The house also had an odd smell, probably just animals but we don’t have a dog so was not used to it. Probably won’t stay here again because of the bugs but otherwise great spot!

Last beach trip before school

Everything was perfect! Exactly as described by the owner. I loved the proximity to the beach. One of the cleanest in Galveston! I appreciated the kitchen amenities, everything is there for you! Beds were very comfy. Lots of towels! My kids loved the golf cart and ping pong table. So clutch that you don’t need to bring any beach type things. It’s all there! Even a wagon! We will definitely come back. Ty!
