My wife and I wanted to get away to the beach and we'd never been to Galveston in our 25+ years in Texas. We were lucky enough to have this property available on a weeks notice during the middle of the summer season. The property is very, very nice--well appointed, comfortable for two (and even two more small children), had everything we needed. Check-in was a breeze and their was plenty of parking. You're right across from the beach, which was never really crowded. The hosts communicated regularly to help with check-in and to make sure the visit went smoothly. I would say they are among the best vrbo hosts ever.
The only downside of the property is we couldn't fully enjoy the very nice balcony and view because of the endless traffic noise on Seawall Blvd. To be clear, with the sliding glass door closed, there was no noise inside--very peaceful. It's just a well-travelled road on the island and you hear it on the balcony from 7am-11pm, at least in July, rather than the ocean. No fault of the hosts here. They clearly say the condo faces Seawall Blvd. Never having been to Galveston, we didn't know. Nonetheless, we had a great time.
