Birthday Weekend

Happy Homestead

We thoroughly enjoyed the relaxing environment and had some fun interaction with the animals. Ruthy is a wonderful hostess and even left fresh baked bread and butter for breakfast!

Wonderful stay

Our second time staying at Buena Hill Homestead. Extremely clean and cozy, and conveniently located near activities in Strasburg and Ronks. Ruthy is a very kind host. Definitely would stay here again next time we visit Lancaster county!

Doesn't Get Any Better than This

This place is absolutely breathtaking—offering incredible views both inside and out. The house is immaculate, and the owners are the friendliest, most cordial, God-loving people you could hope to meet. We've stayed here several times, and it’s always our first choice when visiting Amish country. You certainly won’t be disappointed!

Second Thanksgiving celebration in this impeccable house. Perfect in every way, and the kids loved the animals! Gracious hosts, Ruthy's sourdough loaf a dream! Thanks for having us. We would love to come back next year!

Absolutely Gorgeous!

We loved our stay here, the home is beautiful and immaculate. The views are amazing, wish we had more time to enjoy the outdoor area and firepit. I highly recommend this location. Ruthy checked on us regularly and was the best host.

Way Beyond Expectations- the BEST!

Fantastic updated apartment with 3 king primary suites with attached full baths. One of the most beautiful views in all of Pennsylvania. Host was wonderful and gracious- we can’t wait to return!

Relaxing Retreat

We have stayed here 4 times and the property is still just as breathtaking. The house is in impeccable shape. We love seeing the new decor additions with each stay. We enjoyed using the grill and fire pit. Watching the sunset from the farm is absolutely stunning, especially with the adorable farm dogs.

Tranquil stay

This is our 3rd time staying at this beautiful house. We love the tranquillity of this location. We enjoy using the grill and fire pit at night. Seeing the animals and feeding them is definitely an added bonus. It’s always bittersweet leaving.

Wonderful guesthouse in Lancaster County

The guesthouse was sparkling clean and perfectly set up for our family. We stayed for 6 nights and wished we could have stayed longer! We planned day trips to the steam train in Strasburg, Longwood Gardens and to Hershey Park, but we were always happy to get back to the guesthouse. Our favorite part was sitting on the front porch at sunset and watching the fireflies appear.

Paradise Regained!

This was a perfect vacation for my husband and me to get away, relax, unwind, regroup and get refreshed. The house was spotless and inviting. Christian and Ruthy were the perfects hosts. We felt right at home and enjoyed the homemade sour dough bread and butter they gave us on our first day there. The perfect getaway

Buena Hill Homestead is a perfect place to stay if your looking to rest. The farm is quiet and peaceful. The guest house is absolutely beautiful and immaculately clean. There was also a lovely treat of delicious homemade granola and yogurt waiting for us. Ruthy is the perfect host! We felt very blessed to be able to share their property for a few days.

Doesn’t get any better than this!

We have been visiting the Buena Hill Homestead for several years. It has become our home away from home… our favorite little getaway. The property and house is absolutely immaculate, breath taking views, and ample space. Ruthy and her family graciously welcome us and make us feel so comfortable. My children love the animals and exploring the grounds. You won’t be disappointed with this stay.

The most immaculately clean and well maintained home we’ve ever stayed at. Ruthy and Christian’s home offers more than you will need. Beautifully decorated, it’s equipped with luxurious features and sits on an idyllic property. Ruthy goes above and beyond to make sure you feel welcomed, cared for, and attended to. If you need rest, comfort, safety, and TLC - this is your place. Lovely Environment w/perfect bedroom set ups

This was a perfect cozy inviting space after a very busy few days out & about visiting family. The main BR downstairs worked wonderfully for my 84 year parents. And the extra kitchenette upstairs with kids work well also! The only thing I would’ve like clearer was no TVs which my parents have on 24/7 at home. Good thing we were busy. However, consensus was, if we were in the area again we would gladly stay again! Bonus was the kids getting to pet/hold/feed goats/chickens and run around with the dogs. Thank you Ruthy and family for helping us make more family memories!3

Sibling & Spouse Retreat

My brothers and all our spouses meet up once a year to visit, play games and see new places. We chose Buena Vista Homestead this year. It really is a farm in the beautiful Lancaster area surrounded by other farms. A very peaceful place with goats and chickens and a beautiful view. The house is beautifully designed and meticulously maintained. Extras like paper products and coffee/tea are provided with lots of towels. The host & hostess respond to questions quickly and ensure an enjoyable visit. All 6 of us highly recommend this location.

So beautiful, so friendly, we must return!

Ruthy was so amazing and welcoming to the place which is a plus all by itself. Then upon a late arrival which she graciously set out and left the lights on for us, we were so impressed with the fresh beautiful setup of all of the rooms and living spaces. High quality beds and bedding. The showers and tubs were fantastic. The kitchen had everything we needed and the main downstairs room was just an inviting space to hang out and play games with the family ;-) The outdoor space we didn’t get to use as we had daily plans but it looked perfect to sit at and enjoy. We will do that when we return! Don’t hesitate to book this place. We have done many VRBO stays all over and this sets a high bar. Thank you Ruthy and family!

The stay was wonderful!! The 3 bedrooms with master baths for each was perfect. The home and property were extremely clean and very well decorated. The home is in the country away from all the tourist traffic, but just minutes away from Sight and Sounds theater, restaurants, and other attractions. I've stayed in 10 or 12 VRBO homes over the years and Ruthy was the best host hands down. Our group is already talking about another trip!!

Peace and quiet in an incredibly well-appointed and modern living space that literally sparkled with cleanliness. We would definately stay here again and the host couldn't have been any more accomodating, kind and attentive. This place moves to the top of the list.
