This was my third stay at this property and I will keep coming back. The house is so close to shops and cafes and only a short drive to Richardson Grove where the rest of my family likes to camp.
This property is super cute. Its a small house, but has everything you could need during a stay. It was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The back yard is adorable. This was a great stop over on our way to the redwoods. Great history of the house and a gracious host.
A wonderful cottage at the gateway to the redwoods
This sweet cottage was just what we were looking for on a weekend trip to visit the Avenue of the Giants. Adorable vintage feel (including a claw foot tub!), comfy beds and an enclosed garden space. Great communication with property manager, wonderful hospitality and a cheerful and welcoming vibe. Would stay again!
Sleeps 3-5 easily if you share the main beds. Pellet stove very easy to operate and can heat the entire place. Plenty of pillows for the beds and lots of throw pillows too. Quiet location, diner around the corner. Coffee maker, hot water kettle, stove and microwave. Powerful shower if you like that sort of thing. Nice backyard courtyard to hang out in if the weather is nice. Washer and dryer are a nice plus as well. I’d definitely stay here again.
This property gave me nostalgia of my grandparents' farm cabin except this cottage has plumbing. I loved the memories it revived in me. It's an old house in a sleepy town. The area can feel a little creepy in the evenings if you aren't used to the quiet, the crows, or rural blue collar people. We walked to a restaurant for dinner and bought snacks at the grocery store. It was very safe, although, we joked how we felt we were on a movie set for a horror film. I loved the experience. The next morning we walked to breakfast, and the town was more lively with people. We tried the cafe on the main road but it was full and busy. We saw a sign at the street corner pointing us to another small café behind the busy one, called Amillia's. Our meals and coffee were delicious. Go there. Beds were comfortable for 2 men and two teenagers. Having a shower in the freestanding tub with the window open in the bathroom was refreshing. It's nothing fancy but there were personal touches throughout like complementary lemongrass soap, fountain in the private yard, and dog items for people with pets. The location was great. The town had restaurants and groceries (most things close by 8:30-9pm) you can walk to from here. There were a few gas stations too. We did all our hiking and exploring of the avenue of the giants from here.
Beds were comfortable and kitchen was well equipped. Bathroom needed somewhere to put toiletries and hairdryer cord did not reach far enough to see in the mirror.
The cottage was delightful! We loved the location right in the center of town. There’s an organic grocers just across the street, which was really convenient. The beds were clean and comfy, even the trundle bed was comfortable. The backyard is full of fruit trees. We ate a couple of ripe plums. It was easy to find (great directions).
Comforting and delightful! The beds were excellent, lovely details throughout the space. We loved just walking across the street to the natural food market. The kitchen was well equipped, nice appliances.
The little in town cottage was lovingly and the thoughtfully cared for. There were many welcoming touches through out. We enjoyed having coffee in the very private garden in the morning.

Mary’s place is a lovely home away from home. Cute and quaint home with everything we needed.
This cute cottage was perfect for my family of four and our pup (thanks again for being dog-friendly -- the basket of toys, blankets, & bowls was such a nice touch!). We didn't have too much time in Garberville but really enjoyed the garden and the decor in the cottage. The clawfoot tub was a bit of a (cool) throwback, and I loved the tapestries and overall peaceful vibe of the place. I'd definitely stay again and would enjoy exploring the area when not in the middle of a 20-hour drive ;). Thanks again.

Nice two bedroom one bath rustic home close to the center of town. We traveled here for a wedding and this cottage worked perfectly. It is an old home with much character.
Very cute property, love the location near the great coop and down from the bakery. Host was very welcoming. Also loved the shower and the pellet stove!

Truly a quaint cottage - but spacious enough for two couples. Well appointed - everything you need is there. The beds were comfortable, it was very clean and the garden is fascinating with it's variety of plants. It is an interesting little place!
Some difficulty obtaining the address of the property because of lack of internet on the drive through the mountains. It wasn’t clear on my check in where that information was located on the Vrbo site. Owner did respond quickly. Did not use kitchen other than the refrigerator. The only real complaint would be the wobbly toilet that ran 100% of our time. Seems that should be addressed.
We just did a quick overnight. The house was quaint and met our needs for the night. The listing indicated a garage and there was only street parking. Other than that, it fit what the listing indicated.

Cute place, good location
This place is well-located if you want to use it as a home base for exploring the parks in NorCal.
The house is a bit small, and it gets unbearably hot during the hot summer nights. It could use window air conditioners in both of the bedrooms. The bathroom is tiny, and the toilet is very small.
On the plus side, it's across the street from a health food store,, so you've got that covered.
