In the evening when this photo was taken, the canyon takes on a soft, almost painterly light. If you can, make a visit right after sunrise and return for the sunset.

  • We visited this location but ideally needed to be there in the afternoon as the sun was on the "wrong" side of the arch. I used a wide lens to capture the arch and didn't attempt to correct the distortion as I felt it added to the picture (for me anyway). It took a long time to get this without hoardes of people in the shot.

PERFECT!!Very spacious. Four couples each had their own bathroom. Comfortable beds. Elk each evening out front. Within walking distance to food and cocktails.I can't think of a single thing we would change.

Great Stay for Class Research Trip

I have been taking 10-14 students to Yellowstone for research for the last 20 years. Stayed in many places in Gardiner and staying here makes it easy. Plenty of clean bedrooms and bathrooms, well stocked kitchen (two ovens) and laundry. A ten night stay is breeze.

Vermont to Yellowstone 2024

This is the second time we have stayed at this wonderful home. Our school group of 15 enjoyed all the spacious bedrooms, kitchen and recreation area. The location is close to a grocery store and entrance into the park. The perfect place for a large group stay.

Perfect house and location

Minutes from YNP. 4 couples, and still plenty of room for more. Very clean and organized. Extremely well stocked in kitchen and baths. We had a deer greet us in the driveway when we arrived!

Amazing property

This is one of the best houses we have ever stayed in before. Well stocked with games, toys, blankets, cooking supplies, toiletries and anything else you can think of. Ample bathrooms and bedrooms. Deer and elk visited the front and backyard everyday. Close drive to Yellowstone. We had people age 63-2 staying and everyone had a great time!

House was a great size for our group of 14 people. Separate living areas for different ages to hang out. Also has everything you need! A well stocked kitchen, extra bedding, games and entertainment. Watching the deer and elk everyday was a bonus! Very easy access to Yellowstone park entrance.

Great house!!

This house was perfect for our Yellowstone adventure! It was PLENTY big for 4 couples to have their own space. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. Robert was an excellent host. We enjoyed seeing the elk wander in and out of the front and back yards. We would definitely stay here again!

Gardiner, Montana house for Yellowstone Trip

My family and I stayed at the house for a week during a trip to Yellowstone. The house was conveniently located right in Gardiner close to stores, restaurants, and only a few minutes from the north entrance to Yellowstone. The house was spacious and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked. The kids really enjoyed the basement game room. If you like wildlife, the elk grazing across the street are a real treat. Would definitely recommend the house.

Great base for visiting Yellowstone

We had 3 families of 4, with kids ranging from 3 to 16. Plus 2 grand parents. The house had plenty of space. The kids loved the bunk room and basement. We were visited every day by an Elk herd with four fawns, in the yard or immediately across the street. House was clean and well stocked. Kitchen was best equipped Vrbo I’ve ever seen. And we used it every day to cook dinner for 14 after visiting the national park each day. Highly recommended!

Dream Vacation House and amazing Owner

We took my grandma to Yellowstone for her 90th birthday. There were 17 of us and we all easily fit in the house. The house was clean and well thought out. It was stocked with everything a person could use. We also got to watch elk in the backyard and even saw a black bear and 2 cubs on the other side of the river. The owner communicated with us very well. We didn't have any issues at all. We would rate this house 11 out of 10 and hope to come back in the future.

Perfect Yellowstone Home

This house was amazing! There was plenty of beds & bathrooms for everyone and I loved how nicely labeled everything was in the kitchen to find what you needed! The basement was a great escape for the kids to hang out & play. Everyone enjoyed sitting on the porch watching the elk & deer walk by right in front of us. This house had more animal activity then we saw in the park! The owners were easy to talk to & respond quickly. This town was super cute & a great place to stay close to the park, without being inside it. There is a market to get groceries very close to the house too. Would highly recommend & we would 100% come back & stay here.

Annual Family Trip

We take a yearly family trip of around 17 varying in ages from 5 to 75! It is always more difficult to find a property to meet those needs! This property did that for us. We had plenty of room and variety for all of us. It was minutes into Yellowstone and the entrance was never crowded. The kitchen was well supplied with all appropriate gadgets! There were plenty of beds for all as well, with some to spare. Robert the owner was extremely helpful and available to answer questions. I would truly recommend this property for anyone wanting to spend time in Yellowstone.

Family Reunion - North Yellowstone

We had 8 adults and 5 grandchildren (3 are teens), and chose this house because it was close to Yellowstone Park. It is a great location within easy walking distance to Gardiner's restaurants, shops, grocery store, and white water rafting. There is plenty of space to spread out and everything you need to do cooking at the house when you aren't trying out the local restaurants. The grandkids enjoyed sleeping in the bedroom with all the bunk beds, and the upstairs common area by that bedroom let some stay up later to watch a movie while others went to bed. The house is so close to the north entrance of the park that we managed to get everyone up for an early morning drive into Lamar Valley to see the wildlife as the sun came up. This property worked very well for our family reunion. Thank You !!

Fantastic for Large Family

Tremendous house for a large family, plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms, ping-pong table got a lot of use, playground across the street, easy walk to main street of Gardiner.

Outstanding Yellowstone family reunion home

One of the best VRBO homes that we have stayed in. Amazing views from the porch and daily visits from deer and elk. Easy walk to grocery store, flying pig, restaurants, Roosevelt arch. North entrance to Yellowstone minutes away. House is well stocked and clean. Lights and drawers are labeled clearly. Kitchen has everything you need. Check in and check out were seamless.
