  • The Alpen Lodge holiday home in Garmisch-Partenkirchen offers outstanding views of the Alps. The 3-storey accommodation consists of a living room, a well-equipped kitchen, 3 bedrooms (the 3rd bedroom is in the basement) and 2 bathrooms as well as a guest WC and can therefore accommodate 6 people. Facilities also include Wi-Fi, a TV, a fan and a washing machine. A baby cot and a high chair are also available. This accommodation boasts a private outdoor area complete with an open terrace, balcony, and barbecue.

    Your Alpenlodge is just a 5-minute walk from the centre of Garmisch and right next to the hiking trails and cross-country ski runs. Far enough away from everyday life that your breathing becomes calmer, your muscles relax and your thoughts become clearer and freer.

This is a very cute home in an authentic neighborhood -the home has some very nice touches. Bedrooms are large and comfortable and the kitchen workable for meals. It is reasonably convenient location. There is a nice outdoor patio to sit in the evening.Couple of things kept us from rating it excellent-while there is a washer on property, there’s no dryer which makes doing laundry difficult and while we were provided transit passes for the area, the bus routes are not convenient.One final point-the stairs to the bedrooms are steep and winding, so anyone who had any mobility issues, wouldn’t be able to get to the bedrooms. These stairs are very typical of a historic home, but note the challenge if you have difficulty with stairs,

Ist halt ein altes Haus 🏡

Pros: *Die Lage ist Klasse, in wenigen Minuten in der Stadt oder am Berg. *Die freundlichen Gastgeber Nachbarn, wirklich jederzeit ansprechbar und sehr zuvorkommend. *Ausstattung der oberen Räume, sehr einladend 😉 *Eine schöne große Dusche mit herrlich heißem Wasser Cons: * Der modriege Geruch wenn man zum Ersten Mal das Haus betritt. Später hatten wir einen Filter,der die Raumluft filtert (Standgerät vorhanden) kurzweilig laufen ,dann ging es besser. *Haben die Betten im oberen Geschoss genutzt, im Keller war es zu klammig - Empfehlung auch die Bettwäsche lieber in den oberen Räumen vorbereiten,dann nehmen diese nicht den Geruch des Kellers an.
