The Hotel Baker appears nicer online than it truly is.
The Hotel’s paper thin walls leave you hearing nearly a pin drop in your room.
The hotel claims to be pet friendly, however will charge you an outrageous fee of $35 per night. The highest pet fee I have ever come across.
The rooms vary, with the first room we stayed in including water that was boiling hot, or ice cold. There was no happy medium.
There is a restaurant in the hotel, however they have no room service and their online app is suspect as best.
Inside the rooms you will find cracks in lampshades, pipes unhinged from the wall, and old hardwood floors, which appear to be from an old motel.
The bedding is “scratchy” and feels like it’s been washed in bleach.
To put the nail in the coffin of the Hotel Baker the staff are fairly rude, and don’t appear to enjoy working at the Hotel Baker, and hey who can blame them?
While the Housekeeping staff is friendly, and the nicest people in the hotel, they do begin cleaning loudly at 7:00 a.m sharp. So you best be an early riser here.
