Absolutely loved the remote feeling but having Gatlinburg only 7 minutes away was a bonus for those in-town visits. Beautiful property and we loved having our morning coffee on the deck. We would definitely rent here again.
Great property, very clean! Check-in process was easily and the Host was very informative! Hot tubs were not as private as we would have liked but still great.
We had a great time. The drive up to the property was a little tight sometimes but that kind of made it even more exciting. We loved our location and the cabin. Thank you!
Cute little place to stay. The pictures did make it look a little bigger than it was but it’s perfect for two people!! I will say it’s definitely a great location for seeing bears!!
Property was just as described. Perfect size for a couple. Location feels secluded however close enough to everything. Inside space was clean. With all the necessary amenties. Hot tube was cloudy and soapy. Cleaners were sent to do something to resolve it. However was still cloudy and musty. This certainly was not a deal breaker for us. We would certainky book again.
The best part was the deck and fire pit.
We would have appreciated some soap for the bathroom sink. The rooms were damp. The AC does not work and the kitchen was sparce. The handle broke off the sharp knife because it was rusty and not attached properly.
Apart from that the location was good.
I will say getting up to this cabin can be a little exciting on your first drive up. It is a one-way, one lane with some deep ravines on either or both sides. But once you have gone through it, not a big deal and you remember your in the mountains! Do not go down the wrong way!
The lights of the homes across the ravine twinkle.
It’s a sweet little place with a good deck. Good bed!
We did a little grilling and had a small fire in the fire pit. Cleaned up really well after which is important because a black bear came up the next morning to sniff it and left. Only got a picture of his but as we were so excited to see him!
Hiked the smoky mountains national park trails. Skip Gatlinburg as it is full of tourists and stuff you don’t want. The hiking and this little place is worth the stop!

Moose Suite was attractive, well-kept, and compact. Access to the Suite is up a windy, one-lane hardtop road that is impassable if you have someone coming the opposite direction from you. On 1 side of the road is a ditch and the other side has an embankment. We encountered such a situation and it was most unpleasant. A woman in one of the cars claimed that the road belonged to her and that we did not belong on it. Backing up was difficult and scary. We decided to leave after this situation because the odds of having other such encounters were high over a 4-day period. Fortunately, we did spend some time in Gatlinburg prior to going to Moose Suite and enjoyed the few hours we spent there.
Very comfortable rental a few minutes from town but tucked away for a secluded wooded feel. The pictures in the listing were very accurate and the bed was nice and comfortable. You can tell it was an older home that has been updated but that added to its character. The fireplace inside and the burning pit on the deck really elevated our experience. The kitchen had the very basics and allowed for some smaller meals to be cooked for just the two of us. There were others who rented out the adjacent apartment during our stay but it was relatively quiet aside from being able to hear some footsteps. Also, the bear activity around the cabin was incredible! We saw bears driving into town every single day of our trip. Our only negative point was an encounter we had driving into town one day. The last stretch of road to the rental is one way and up a steep hill. We came upon another driver on our way down the hill and had to come to a stop. We expected the oncoming driver to see that she was only a few feet from a driveway and assumed she would back into the driveway to let us pass. After minutes of trying to hand signal to her, I proceeded to get out of the vehicle to politely ask her to pull into the drive way or back up a few feet to allow us into the driveway. The woman in the black Toyota Tacoma proceeded to get snarky and insist that she was coming up the hill and had the “right of way” and it was our responsibility to back up almost 200ft up this narrow hill to a leaf covered, completely hidden, very small pull off that. When I pleaded that her request seemed a bit unfair and more trouble than necessary, she got very aggressive and said that she WAS NOT backing up and would sit there all day if she had to. I’m not aware if there are any unspoken rules about passing on this stretch of road but logic would have the person closest to the pull off make the effort to pull to the side, especially with the difference in distance in this case. This woman said she lived at the top of the hill and it was obvious she was not friendly with tourists. I’ve never encountered a person such as her, and hope anyone staying in this rental is able to avoid her on the hill. Other than that, we had conflicting check out information (our first confirmation said 11am and a private message from the host said 10am), we noticed the discrepancy the morning of check out after we had already planned on an 11am check out time so we ended up leaving just after 1030.
