Dirty towels upon check in but, things got much better after that and the hotel staff was very courteous and took care of everything. Breakfast was very adequate and restaurant food was great!

We were so happy to get a room in the front of the hotel. We learned that other reviewers were right; there is a lot of noise late at nght. We got used to it, and we enjoyed being able to look out over the street during the day. The staff were all incredibly helpful and even arranged our transportation back to the airport. The small rooms are small, and we wish we would have booked a larger room, but we were really only in the room to sleep. A good stay, and we would stay in the Fama again if we return.

Great location at the Golden Gate and along the Royal Route. The breakfast is worth the add-on. The room was small but you're not there to spend all day in it anyway. The staff is great and will easily help you with whatever you need.

Superb value, great location
We loved this gem of a hotel which is beside the famous Golden Gate. We were there for 5 nights. The location is excellent - handy for bus & train connections, the starting point for the walkative walking tour is just outside on the other side of the gate. In December it's also beside the main Christmas market. The main museums are also within about a 15/20 minute walk. We were on the third floor & had no issue with noise although ear buds were provided & we were there Sunday - Friday. The room was comfortable & clean. Breakfasts were very good with some nice healthy options such as fresh fruit, chia seed pots as well as hams, cheeses, salads , cereals & some hot options. There were also breads & a daily cake. A big shout out to the lovely Reception staff who helped us with directions & with buying train tickets on the app & where to buy bus tickets for going to the airport. Staff were lovely, patient & very helpful. We went on two day trips independently to Stutthof concentration camp & Malbork castle. What could be improved? Although there was daily housekeeping, a few things were missed eg a mug not washed, toilet roll not replaced. Also it wasnt an issue for us but there's no English language tv station. To me, given the great price, great location, excellent reception staff & good breakfast, this merits full marks as it's fantastic value for money.

The location of the property was perfect. The outside and reception were very inviting. Breakfast buffet was very good. The rooms (carpet) didn't appear to be very clean. Adjusting the temperature was challenging and the door to my room had to be pulled closed or it wouldn't lock. It felt like the rooms didn't quite match the updated look and feel that the lobby had.

Christmas market break
Hotel is in excellent location on main pedestrian street, easy walk from train station. We had a lovely large room on corner of 3rd floor with views over the main street and Xmas market stalls. Comfy bed, good shower, nice sofa, very little street noise. Staff friendly and helpful, breakfast was outstanding with good range of hot and cold options from buffet.

This hotel has the perfect location! Walking distance to the restaurants, mall, train station and even Christmas market. The outside is detailed so beautifully and the hotel overall is clean. Like other reviews, yes there’s a lot of noise from people walking by late at night BUT that didn’t bother me. I slept like a baby. The breakfast buffet was delicious and had a great variety of options. If you don’t like buffet style, they have a specific menu for dishes. I would stay here again and highly recommend it.

Clean and friendly central hotel
Clean hotel with friendly staff. Right on the main tourist street of the town, walkable to everywhere you might want to visit. Rooms are small but totally functional for a short break.

We had a fantastic weekend break.All the staff at the hotel and in the restaurant were lovely. The room was compact but had everything you need and beautifully clean.The breakfast was amazing so much choice. Great location definitely want to go back.

Great Stopover

The Fama Residence is right at the entrance to old town and couldn't be in a more convenient location! It is also located within walking distance of the train station. Staff were friendly and multilingual, room was clean and nice. I recommend staying here if you intend on spending a lot of your time in/around the old town!

Enjoyable stay. Staff happy and obliging. Room was quiet and clean. Brilliant location. Everything is accessible, whether you want to do touristy things or just shop. Only slight drawback was the bed. It was comfortable but myself and my partner would’ve preferred one big duvet rather than two small. Minor gripe but would happily stay here again.

I liked the it was close to public paid parking lot (only charges for certain hours so check the automatic payments kiosks for times) Hotel doesn't have many amenities, however they provide complimentary water, tourist attractions book in few languages (Polish, English, German, Spanish if I remember correctly) you can also pay like extra for buffet breakfast in newly renovated (March 2022) restaurant. I like that hotel is close to city shops, restaurants. It's walking distance from amber museum (15min walk)

Great location. Nice staff.
Really friendly and helpful receptionist. Great location though may be noisy if you are at front. Rooms fine - maybe a little small. Good shower. Excellent breakfast.

I was so pleasantly surprised by this budget friendly property. Windows open right into old town. Staff was super friendly. Much cleaner and nicer than I expected in every way. Will definitely visit again.

Great place to stay
Brilliant room with a great location in the middle of town. Reception staff spoke English and the 24/7 reception was really convenient. On top of that, I was able to take free bottles of water and a free usage of the coffee machine...which was used frequently.

Great hotel in Central Gdańsk , within walking distance to everything you need. Rooms nice size and comfortable. Very welcoming hotel and lovely staff. Will stay again soon.

Clean, quiet and comfortable. Nice bar attached that serves good food and good beer. Staff were excellent.
