Top George Town Hotel Reviews

Eastern And Oriental Hotel
8/10 Good
"There are two wings that are separate hotels with the same name . You may want to choose the old one.
No changing room in the other one.
However nice swimming pool and restaurant on the 6th floor and professional staff "

Shangri-La Golden Sands, Penang
8/10 Good
"Breakfast was very busy, floor Staff a bit chaotic and the place was dirty.
The young staff at Sigi’s were just wonderful, friendly, so pleasant and accomodating but the older staff a bit rude-disappointing to see.
Security on grounds were lovely as were the guys in Lobby."

Hotel NEO+ Penang by ASTON
8/10 Good
"My stay at Hotel Neo+ Penang was an incredibly convenient and professional experience. The location is highly strategic, as it only takes about a 10-minute walk to reach the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage site, making it an ideal base for historical exploration. The surrounding amenities are excellent, with convenience stores located both downstairs and within the immediate vicinity. A major highlight for me was the supermarket situated directly across the street, which made shopping for local souvenirs and essentials remarkably easy. Additionally, reaching the famous food stalls at Lebuh Kimberley is quite manageable, requiring only about a 15-minute walk.
The hotel room itself was very reasonable, neat, and minimalist, providing a clean and organized environment that met all my professional standards. I also had a chance to visit the rooftop pool, and surprisingly, I had the entire place to myself. It might have been because it was raining at the time, haha, but it offered a very peaceful moment during my trip. Overall, this hotel offers great value and a seamless stay for anyone visiting George Town."

Areca Hotel Penang
8/10 Good
"Not really. Was preset menu and ordered and then wait. I usually like grab and go if there is no buffet option"

Shangri-La Rasa Sayang, Penang
10/10 Excellent
"A beautiful hotel which is immaculately maintained. The gardens are right on the coast, but there is no beach access directly from the hotel. We stayed in the Rasa wing which included free soft drinks by the pool, daily afternoon tea and cocktails and canapés each evening. There were several dining options within the hotel, with many other choices available just a short walk away. Staff are friendly and extremely helpful. We would thoroughly recommend for a relaxing stay."

St.Giles Wembley Penang
10/10 Excellent
"We booked an Executive Premier King room, it is spacious. A fruit basket was presented to us on arrival. Breakfast was included. We had access to Executive Lounge whole day. Free cocktails in the evening. Afternoon tea is served. Very friendly and courteous staff. Good city centre location. 1st Avenue Shopping Mall across the road. Local city attractions are not far from here. Water dispensers at lift lobby. Convenient and no worry stay. Recommended."

Gurney Bay Hotel, A PARKROYAL PARTNER HOTEL
6/10 Okay
"The properly is old and carpet, towels needs to be replaced. WiFi connections below at par and constantly dropped off"

JEN Penang Georgetown by Shangri-La
8/10 Good
"Very comfortable room. Staff were helpful. We would have liked more help from the restaurant when it came to my wife's need for gluten free food. We tried to have dinner there one night and were offered only one choice which would have been a very basic meal. For breakfast my wife was informed by the staff that "all bread is gluten free", it's not! I would have thought that being part of the Shangri-La group, your staff and kitchen could do better here. Otherwise we had a good stay"

Penang Marriott Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Loved it"
