"The mountain view was amazing. We went skiing in Loveland, and the distance was great. The restaurant next to the inn had great pizza. The only downside was the hot tub curfew at 9:30. I understand the need for rules, but for adults who aren’t causing a disturbance, I feel like the curfew should be later."

"I planned this trip for my husband and I’s 27th anniversary and I really splurged and upgraded to the suite. We came back to our room only to find that no one had even brought us clean towels let alone cleaned our room. When I called down and spoke to the manager they said they could come clean it then (at midnight) but that was the most they could do. After I got upset he said they would give us the resort fee back (between $35-$40) on a $450/nt suite. This is completely unacceptable. I rarely write reviews but this was such a negative experience I feel a tremendous responsibility in warning others that this resort will not work with you at even attempt to right their wrongs. On top of that, it was the most sub-par food and service of any hotel we have stayed at in Blackhawk over the past 2 decades. Travelers BEWARE!"

"Staff was wonderful! The rooms are definitely old, strong smell of old smoke in the air. Odd setup of the room. Not quite inviting, yet not completely off putting. It was a safe place to spend the night. I’ve definitely stayed in worse and in better. Wouldn’t plan a long stay or plan to stay in the room more than just for basic sleeping and showering. "

"Almost everything was great and maybe I’m just used to being spoiled by other hotels but they wanted to up charge me to get a two bed instead of the one bed we got, it was the same price too! I just accidentally chose the wrong one. I know my fault but whatever they didn’t care! Made me feel unwelcome. The manager or she claimed to be one, was rude about it too. Told me it’s ONLY $10, okay if it’s Only $10 than you cover it. If it’s not a big deal to you… They charge for everything here tho. Idk I’m used to feeling wanted at hotels and used to staff making sure I’m comfortable and happy. Just different experience. Great view, place is clean, and breakfast was good. Just treat customers like you want them there especially if you’re a manager, I personally didn’t like that. "

"The front office staff was efficient, but definitely not warm and friendly. No warm greetings and no smiles. I spent a career in Customer Service and I think they need more work. The hotel advertised a heated pool. There was nothing heated about that pool."

"It was a great location. An easy walk to downtown and right on the river. The room was Very clean but the door didn't close very tightly and I could see a Lot of daylight around the door in the morning and a lot of cold air was coming in around the door. They need to add some weather stripping. The gentleman at the front desk was very kind and helpful."
