"The add did not represent the reality of the house. There was no furniture. We were not allowed to use master bedroom with ensuite, the bedrooms had mattress cover and pillows with cases. A duvet with no covering. Nothing in kitchen to prepare a meal or eat off of. We had a kitchen table and 4 chairs, a single bed in the living room only. "Best breakfast provided and best service provided I have ever experienced at a hotel. The very large variety of breakfast options was incredible and the servers kept everything topped up and tidy incredibly even during high volumes of people eating. I do wish there would have been a hot tub or sauna to go with the pool. A great location to stay in a newer built hotel with nice sized rooms. Definitely a hotel to consider booking at."

"Room was clean, dated, but very clean. Property was large, beach front was nice. We knew the pool would be closed during our visit, looks nice though. We were the only people there for our 2 night stay, so it would have been nice to have had a wee upgrade to a room away from the laundry room (a bit noisy). Otherwise having a morning coffee by the water by ourselves was worth every penny."

"For a roadside motel in a rural area, it was a pretty decent place to stay for a single night. The room was quite basic, but seemed to have been recently updated. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom was a bit cramped but was fairly modern and clean. The area was quiet and peaceful, and the woman at the front desk was very pleasant and helpful. There didn’t appear to be any vending machines around, so make sure you bring bottled water if you don’t like it out of the tap. The main commercial part of Wiarton is just a few minutes drive if you’re looking for food, etc. The room price was a little high for what you get, but considering the time of year in this beautiful part of Ontario, it’s not surprising to pay a premium for a “budget” motel. Recommended if you’re looking for a quiet, comfortable place to sleep, but come with tempered expectations."
