Beachside Retreat - walk to the beach

This 4-bedroom holiday home is conveniently located 100 metres from Werri Beach with tennis courts, surf club & bowling club, skate park and playground all within walking distance making this the perfect spot for your family getaway.

As of October 2024, the property has been transformed to include a new and extended balcony, a fully fitted modern kitchen with new flooring throughout including the living area. 

Ocean views can be seen from the rear balcony. Inside includes a rumpus room with table tennis and pool table, TV with DVD player. Barbeque and washing machine provided.

Linen – Not supplied (you will need to bring; top and bottom sheets, pillowcases, hand towels, bath towels, bath mats, tea towels and beach towels). You can hire linen from Gerringong Laundrette by phoning on (02)

This house is really bad

The one star rating for this house is for the location only. The house is rundown, neglected and dirty. It is furnished with what can only be described as other people's rubbish. The windows and doors are difficult to open and all the fly screens either have holes in them or they are hanging off (finding a cockroach in your bed is disgusting). The kitchen is ill equipped with most items being dirty and dangerously outdated. The bathrooms are mouldy and dirty The yard is also overgrown and neglected. Most disturbingly, the lights and electrical outlets kept giving us shocks with one powerpoint dangerously sparking in our children's bedroom whilst they were sleeping. I informed the real estate of these problems and suggest anyone considering this house to check with them that the electricals have been checked and the house has been cleaned to a reasonable standard.

Perfect for families

I took my 15 year old son and his mates away for for a few days. The locat was perfect with the skate park and basketball across the park, loads of parklands and the beach a minute away. Club and cafe within a minute walk and the main strip of Gerringong just a 10 minute walk. The house is ideal with the rumpus with ping pong and pool downstairs leaving the upstairs for peace and quiet. Recently painted and carpeted,the house is neat and tidy with nice furnishings. The kitchen and bathroom are a bit retro but still fine. Would be great for 2 families or when the kids want to bring a friend away. Would definitely stay again. Lovely walks including the kiama coastal walk close by.

To clarify, my review on stayz was not the first time I raised these issues. I provided feedback on the condition of the house after my last two stays and inquired again when I collected the keys. No action was taken either time. In regards to the electrical faults, I raised the issue at next available opportunity. Based on this conversation, I was not confident the issue would be addressed immediately. As I made my booking via stayz and was asked to provide feedback, it was appropriate for me to do so.

The location of this house is perfect for young children. We had a great time. The house could do with a little updating however I think at this price it all works
