Gettysburg getaway

Wonderful bed and breakfast. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful. The room was warm and inviting. Loved the whole experience!

Amazing inn; owners were wonderful, friendly, and exceptionally considerate, the building and rooms are beautiful, breakfast was great. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay for the weekend.

Definetely a repeat place to stay.

The proprietors were wonderful people and knowledgeable. They made sure all our needs were taken care of. They went over and above what you expect at a B&B. We will definitely return here in the future. The rooms and breakfasts were fantastic. Area was close to center of town but quiet. Bonus was they’re friendly fur babies.

Pleasant Surprise

We decided to use our B&B wedding anniversary gift for a getaway weekend and it turned out to be a great trip. Alexandra and George were very gracious and accommodating to ensure we had a had a relaxing and memorable weekend. The breakfasts were delicious, served with genuineTLC and included informative discussions with the hosts and other guests. We would highly recommend this B&B. John & Kim

Homey Inn at Gettysburg

We had a wonderful stay at the Raphael Inn. The Escaleras are warm generous hosts and go out of their way to make people comfortable and welcomed. The breakfasts were delicious and varied. Olive and Heidi, the canine hostesses, add to the warmth. We will be returning.

Fantastic

I will never stay anywhere else except here if I take another trip to Gettysburg. It's close enough to walk anywhere in the town. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful. The bed in the California room's bed was so comfortable that I wanted to know the brand to get one for myself. Also, the breakfast was amazing. Had a outstanding stay.

Pleasant B&B

This B&B, about half-a-mile north of the town center, is run by a couple out of their home. They were gracious hosts and, if anything, overly accommodating. They have two dogs, who are quite adorable.

Raphael Inn is in a great location within walking distance to everything downtown. The owners George and Alexandra were extremely welcoming and made are stay so enjoyable. We will definitely be back!

AMAZING!!!

I truly can't say enough how wonderful my experience was at the Raphael Inn. Alexandra and George are more then just inn keepers. They embraced you like you were a part of their family. We felt so at home in their cozy, well thought out space. Every room feels good to be in and the decor makes your soul smile. Oh and their sweet dogs! They were such loves. Everything about this place was a heartfelt experience. As for the actual location, I honestly felt like it was perfect! It was a really nice neighborhood and walking distance to the cute downtown of Gettysburg. Alexandra and George went above and beyond to accommodate their guests. We will definitely be visiting them again!

Fantastic stay!

My friend and I stayed here for two nights, and we had an amazing time! George and Alexandra were so kind and welcoming. They helped us figure out where to eat and what to do around Gettysburg, lent us an audio tour CD for the battlefield, and were always available for questions. The rooms were beautiful and the breakfast was DELICIOUS. Heidi the Wonder Dog and Olive the Little Wonder were adorable! Would stay here again for sure.

Outstanding Experience!

George and Alexandra go out of their way to make you feel at home. The decor was charming, the room very comfortable. Breakfast was not only delicious, but the presentation beautiful. Their knowledge of area attractions and restaurants was invaluable. They add to the fun and pleasure of a vacation. We are looking forward to going back!

Perfect in every way

This is a lovely place to stay. The bed was very comfortable, the breakfast room was bright and sunny, and the breakfasts themselves were delicious and beautifully presented. The inn should get an outstanding-plus for cleanliness; it was spotless. As a dog lover, the inn mascots were an extra treat for me. Gettysburg was a stopover in my case, not a destination, but for those doing Gettysburg, the hosts had a wealth of information of where to go and what to see. I would definitely stay again, and highly recommend it. Thanks, Alexandra, George, Heidi and Olive!

Trip to Gettsyburg

We enjoyed our stay at Raphael Inn, Alexandra and George were gracious hosts, suggesting a great place for dinner and hinging us an amazing breakfast the next day. Fresh baked molasses cookies the night we arrived were delicious and reminded me of the ones my mother used to bake.

Super surroundings and Outstanding Hosts!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend stay! The California Suite was comfortable and well appointed. The dining room had a cafe motif that was warm and inviting. We especially liked spending time on the screened front porch under the fan, watching the locals walk by . The Inn is located just far enough away from town so that the crowds aren't oppressive, yet close enough for a midday walk on a warm summer day without breaking a sweat. Best of all, there's Alex and George, who are caretakers of the tallest order as they catered to our needs and fixed us breakfasts you read about in books - both delicious and artful in their presentation. George can pick a few tunes, I have found. So we both learned a few songs from the other. You can't go wrong hanging your hat at the Raphael Inn. We'll be headed back there again soon!

Alexandra and George go out of their way to see that all your needs (and beyond) are met. They always give great attention to detail, just notice the food presentation!! Always leave here refreshed and well fed. If you want to be well cared for, this is my choice.....

Fabulous Host

My wife and I have stayed at several Bed and Breakfast Inns over the years. Truthfully, they have all had similar accommodation. What makes one B&B stand out over another is it's Hosts. George and Alexandra went to lengths to make our stay as wonderful as possible. The food was fabulous, but it was their warmth and hospitality that made the weekend special. I would highly recommend the Raphael Inn to anyone who is planning a getaway to Gettysburg.
