Day 5 - Ghangaria to Joshimath 15 kilometers on foot again but much easier as it was all downward. The path was same as Day 2 but surprisingly, I found this smaller version of Valley on the way. I was at Valley of flowers, Uttarakhand in the last week of July, a 6 day trip - my first after leaving the cubicle, also my first without anyone I knew. Day 4 As per the plan, we had to go to Hemkunth Sahib, but half of the group decided to stay back. Everyone had their own reasons - mine included fatigue, unwillingness to climb straight for 3 kilometers, and even more reluctance to cover the distance on a horse. Strangely, the tour operators were as disinterested as they could be. They didn't bother about why or when people are going or staying back. Feeling a bit disappointed with myself, even though I knew I made the right decision, I went for a small walk in search of solitude. I usually do not believe in making a bucket list because I think that travelling is more about experiences and memories which you make in a destination rather than ticking off places one after another. . But Valley of flower was an exception for me. I had heard about this place a few years ago but I really never bothered much about it. . It was the late Winter of this year when I actually started reading about it and since then my craving and curiosity to visit this valley just kept increasing with every Sunrise. I immediately wanted to leave everything and come here. . But sadly that was not the right time to come here because flowers blosoom only in monsoon. .
