Qunci Villas Resort

10/10 Excellent

"If I could sum up our 7-day stay at Qunci Villa Resort it would be FABULOUS! My husband and I had an oceanview room and it superceded our expectations. Large bed, Bottled water renewed everyday! We had an outdoor shower in our bathroom- very nice! The staff have been well trained in hospitality and look after guests extremely well. They were friendly, attentive and always there to make sure we were well catered to. The three outdoor pools overlooking the ocean allowed for beautiful views at all times. The pool staff were friendly and the QR code ordering for food & drinks was great. So many places to sit and soak in the sun that one didn't feel like you'd run put of space. The three restaurants were well designed and the food was very good - Choose from Italian, seafood or Indonesian. Happy hour every day. We loved our time there and will most definitely come again!"

"Top spot, with well appointed, comfortable & quiet rooms (ocean pool villa is spacious). Excellent garden & grounds. Outside bathroom is the only annoyance, bitten by mozzies going to the loo or having a shower, but staff did supply mozzie spray which helped. Bit of a hard sell of the (very expensive) private cruise & massage on arrival, one argument over deceptive english language used to promote the happy hour cocktails, but all sorted out quickly & all staff were great, especailly at the main pool bar & garden restaurant. Top quality food for breakfast, lunch & dinner. One of the best wood-fired pizzas we've had (the Romana - but you have to pay extra for some cheese!). Wine list was a bit pricey, but excellent quality. Would return with enthusiam if travelling to Gili T."

Katamaran Hotel & Resort Lombok

"A 1 hour and 10 minute BluBird cab ride north from the airport 330 K IDR. One bedroom private pool villa. Very good condition, no grime. I would guess 90 square meters indoors and another 90 sqm of pool and decking. Pool about 7M x 3M and 1.4M deep (good if you want to swim, not great if you have children since there is no "paddling depth"). WiFi "ok", aircon adequate , not powerful. 2 restaurants, good food selection, good quality. Prices good until 40% tax+service charges are added. This seems to be an Indonesian custom. It's another 30 minute cab ride to Bangsal for boats to the Gilis. GRAB 150K IDR. Overall, happy. Would stay there again."

Seri Resort Gili Meno - Adults Only

"The staff are amazing! They honestly make the stay that much better. The resort is in a good location and is easy to walk to the west side for a sunset drink or dinner. There are a few good warungs and restaurants in the area, including the Seri restaurant. The rooms are average but typical for Indonesia. The resort was quiet at night, except one night when there was an onshore wind and the music from Gili Air was pretty loud. The breakfast was good, with lots of options. The freshly made omelets were the best! Huge thanks to all the staff for making our stay enjoyable....huge shout out to Echo, he's a good man."

BASK GILI MENO

"Bask is an incredible undertaking of an international high end hotel build on a tiny island. The design and attention to detail is amazing and the food and drinks on offer are brilliant. The tempura prawns, sushi and lobster ravioli deserve special mention and their smoked negroni is the best I’ve had. The setting provides a great atmosphere for afternoon cocktails and chatting to other guests at the swim up bar. For the area it comes at a price, but for international travellers it offers reasonable value. Service is a tale of two halves. All the staff are friendly and greet you by name, but some of the small details are missed. When we checked in to our cabin with a pool, we were told we could order breakfast etc to our room, but there wasn’t a menu in the room. When I went to reception to ask for a menu, I was passed to 4 different people and it felt a bit unnecessary. We had a private terrace and pool, but no comfy seating or loungers, so couldn’t really use our private space for what we wanted. I asked if we could get some. Again, it involved being passed to 3 people and the duty manager coming to our table during dinner to say “hi, what's the problem”, without greeting us or introducing himself, which seemed odd. They did however accommodate our request, but we woke to find noise from building work next door anyway. These niggles didn’t dampen a brilliant stay and I only mention them because it was at odds with an otherwise amazing experience."
