Roosisaar – Lake Views, Tranquility, and Wild Geese on Lake Grand Tessin

There are places where time simply stretches out. Inside, guests will find a lovingly furnished temporary home: a cosy living room with a smart TV, a bedroom with a double bed, a bathroom with a shower, and a well-equipped kitchen with a filter coffee maker, oven, stove, refrigerator, and dishwasher—everything you need to really make yourself at home here for a few days. The house is heated and air-conditioned year-round, so it’s at the perfect temperature on cold winter days as well as on cool fall days or warm summer days. Towels and bed linens are provided, and a reliable fiber-optic connection ensures fast Wi-Fi and makes it easy to work while on holiday.

If you’re travelling by electric car, you can charge it at the private wall box in the on-site car park right in front of the house. The lockable bike shed also offers a power outlet for charging e-bikes, making Roosisaar the ideal starting point for extended bike tours—away from the crowded main roads along the coast, on quiet country trails. It’s just a 150-meter walk to the swimming spot at Lake Groß Tessiner, close enough for a spontaneous dip in the water. Anglers can try their luck here; a fishing licence and a fishing permit are required.

The bakery in the neighbouring town of Warnkenhagen is a 5-minute drive or a 12-minute bike ride away, and the small town of Neukloster—with supermarkets, ice cream shops, and a hiking trail around Lake Neukloster—is 10 minutes away. Those looking for more activity will find it in the Hanseatic city of Wismar with its old town and historic harbour (30 minutes), or can continue on to the Hanseatic city of Rostock or the state capital Schwerin with its impressive castle. Both are a 40-minute drive away, as are the Baltic Sea resorts of Kühlungsborn and Warnemünde.
