Wonderful

We enjoyed staying here for a long weekend while touring maritime colleges in the area. This nice quiet neighborhood was restful at the end of each day and convenient to everywhere we needed to be. The nearby brewery on the harbor was a great spot for lunch.
Perfectly fine no frills but comfortable and good value place to stay with gaming Long Island. Stairs into the duplex pretty steep, they were hard for my FIL. Beds comfy, heating worked well, safe neighborhood handy to stores/restaurants. Park nearby on the water was pretty.
We were visiting family in Glen Cove with our adult kids. This place was perfect. There's a large living room area, a small dining area and three comfortable bedrooms. The bathrooms were very nice and the kitchen had everything we needed. (Except a corkscrew.) We would be glad to come back again.
Great space and location with a few things missing
Overall, the unit was spacious and very clean. The location was great. Close to town and our relatives. It was nice having a full kitchen to prep a few meals. There a few things that the owners could provide that would have made the stay more comfortable. Most importantly, a toaster should be pretty much standard in a rental that has a full kitchen. A couple other items that would have been nice small spoons (teaspoons), serving utensils, a couple extra place settings (dishes and utensil), and a fan.

Great Area OK home
The area is great as it's close to major airports and pretty much everything you might need. The home was clean and the process to checkin was easy.
We ended up purchasing towels as there were not enough for a family of 5 (3 towels and 1 washcloth in the home)
Bedding could use some improvement.
Overall the house was good for a short trip but could use some updates to make those staying more comfortable.
I would rent this again but knowing I need to bring pillows, bedding, dish sponges etc.
My husband and I, adult son, and my father all stayed here while visiting our other son to see a performance at his college. Everything was neat, clean, and comfortable. Not listed in the description is a full flight of stairs…a bit steep, that were a bit difficult for my father. Also, if you plan on baking, there were no measuring cups or spoons. But I would recommend this rental, unless stairs are hard for you. I had no communication with the owner. I had emailed a question right after I made the reservation but got no response
The apartment is impeccably clean, so comfortable and spacious. I was staying for an event in the next town and everything we needed was within a six minute drive but still felt away from busy roads and it was very quiet. Check in was the easiest ever. Highly recommend this property.
Owner is super nice and responsive.
Place is absolutely wonderful. 3 bedrooms are very spacious, and love the open kitchen and living and dining areas.
Great for family to gather.
We enjoyed staying at this property. We were five adults staying at this property during our stay. There was enough room of all of us to be comfortable. The property was clean, has a nice location, and was quiet. Check in was very easy and it was not a problem that we arrived late at night. We were impressed with this property and we would consider staying there again. The only thing I would make sure future guests are aware of is that this is the second story of a house, so you need to climb a flight of stairs to enter the property. This was not a problem for us, but we did see other reviews where this was an issue. If the stairs are not an issue for you, I would highly recommend this property.
I enjoyed everything about this property except the description stated there were 2 steps to enter property. It failed to metro the 15 stairs once you opened the door. My aunt struggled with this so be aware when booking this property if you have accessibility needs.
There are PROS and CONS to every rental. I have listed them below.PROS: location was good for what we needed, 3 (very plain, no frills) bedrooms, kitchen was equipped, clean except for a few random black ants, they had plenty of good paper towels and toilet paper, there were extra bath towels, and the area was very quiet which was nice.CONS: The pillows sucked, the beds are full/double size(not queens), There are 10 steep stairs to get up to the apartment, there is only 1 TV in the living room and the sound did not work, there were not enough garbage bags for 4 people for 5 days.We would stay here again, but would bring our own pillows and garbage bags.
This house was more like a Motel 8 than a house. The owners obviously put as little effort into it as possible. There is no art. It is sterile feeling. The heater in the master bedroom didn't work so our room was freezing and the other rooms were so hot. The door to the master bedroom didn't close. The master bathroom can't fit more than one person. There is no art on the walls so it feels empty. Everything is the bare minimum. I would not recommend this property.

Clean and convenient
The duplex was as pictured. It had so much space, which was wonderful for our family of four. The check-in was seamless and the place had obviously been professionally cleaned, which I appreciated. As other reviewers have mentioned, the instructions say there are two steps leading to the door, but they don’t mention a whole flight of stairs you have to ascend when you open the door in order to get to the apartment. It wasn’t a problem for us, but they should update the listing so people are aware. It could be a problem for some. Also. The master bedroom is in serious need of new pillows and a new set of sheets. The pillows are flat and the sheets all ball-y and uncomfortable. I almost stopped at a store to buy some myself. I should have messaged the host to see if they had another set we could use but we got busy with other activities and I forgot about it…. Until it was time to sleep again and I had to slither into the rough sheets again. Just a $50 upgrade would have elevated the master bed experience completely. Overall, we were very happy and would stay here again. One other note. I was nervous that being on the top floor would be hot (we were staying during a heat wave) but the AC worked perfectly and we were very comfortable. :)Thanks!
We flew with our teenaged boys to NY for a family funeral and were glad to have space for us all at one location. The open concept kitchen, dining and living space allowed time together and three bedrooms gave us space to retreat and rest.
