"This was such a fun place to stay. We needed a place as home base where we could explore Bryce and Zion on a longer road trip. This was a perfect location for both. I wish I had scheduled more time to be in the area as well as had more time to hang out on the property grounds. My kids loved Bill Cassidy’s hideaway and the axe throwing pit. Above all this was an extremely comfortable stay. The nights were cooler and tucking into the heated beds was perfect and we all slept amazingly well. ...

"Stayed in cabin 21. Cabin was really nice, clean, spacious, remodeled really nice. Only negative was no body wash or shampoo in the shower. Both bottles were empty, I would expect those to be checked before renting a room. Good thing I travel with back up. Would stay there again if back in the area. Stayed 2 nights. Bob."

"A two night stay- Location is good. Parking felt safe and convenient. The included breakfast was good quality with a fair amount of choice, both hot and chilled choices. Breakfast staff were excellent and attentive to detail. Our room was very clean, spacious, tasteful, and had a feel of recent update. The bed was comfortable, though I'm glad I brought my own pillow as the ones provided were soft, but a bit thick for my taste and neck. The sliding door on the bathroom was the best quality sliding door I've encountered at a hotel.... it created a sealed closure, was sound dampening, and good at light blocking. Usually I frown on sliding bathroom doors, but this gets five stars and a thumbs up. Three drawbacks to our stay: Beginning at 5:30am on our first morning we could hear a lot of walking around above us, hallway doors slamming, and people talking in the hallways (customers up and departing early it seemed.) Sound insulation could be better. Not a problem the second morning. Disappointment #2: The shower head provides a stingy amount of water. I appreciate water conservation, but this was too much. Not a deal breaker, but NOT pleasant. #3: USB outlet next to the bed (side closest to the door, room 119, failed to provide any charge. Yes, a few wrinkles, but overall the hotel was a good choice, one of the better in town I'm guessing. Given remoteness of Kanab, the price could arguably be reasonable. Book early for better price."

"Our stay at the Historic Smith Hotel was our favorite of the two week vacation. We'd love to stay there again. We loved the comfortable room with antique decor and homey feel. The homemade breakfasts were fantastic. We especially enjoyed getting to know the two wonderful women who hosted us - really enjoyable conversations with them. The location was perfect between Bryce and Zion National Parks. A great experience!"

"This is an amazing resort, with a wide variety of activities available for guests, a great onsite restaurant, and quaint cabins with updated furnishings and appliances. We felt very comfortable. We regret that, due to our crowded schedule, we didn't have the time to avail ourselves of the many activities available, such as miniature golf or jeep tours. One minor criticism: We arrived after dark, and we were given our key and a map to our cabin, which was #3. The property is not very well lit at night, so we spent over 15 minutes driving around trying to find cabin #3. At one point we found a cabin #3, but someone was already in it. When we went back to the registration desk, they explained that there were multiple cabin #3s, which were differentiated by the level of the size and number of beds. The map was not super helpful. We finally found the right cabin, and it was certainly worth the wait!"
