Beautiful quiet cottage on lovely southern street.
Staying in Gloucester is just wonderful. You can walk to the produce market, the library, several good restaurants. It’s quiet and everyone is friendly.
The house was very comfortable and clean with everything provided for the stay. The location is on a quiet street yet only a short walk to an incredible sweet shop and great restaurant. It was awesome to sit on the sun porch and listen to the birds chirping. We loved it.
Beautifully restored interior. Air conditioning worked great. Quiet street but only steps to Main Street. Especially good for visiting residents at Riverside Sanders which is just a block away.
Great midpoint to all the attractions. The town of Gloucester has close restaurants, shopping whether you want to walk or drive a short distance. I wasnt aware of the toll coming back and forth to Yorktown. Honestly, for us the 20 minute drive was worth it. The property is on a quiet street with food options within a 5 minute walk.

Vacation
House was in a good location. Did not have a working fire place as stated. Cleanliness left a lot to be desired.
Perfect location and beautiful home. Renovated to the homes time period. All clean and new. We have 4 adults and 1 child. Perfect size and much nicer than staying at a hotel. Home was stocked with all the household items we would need. Would definitely book again
We were thrilled with the property. It was exactly how it was pictured. It was very comfortable. We were in the area to visit relatives. The only suggestion would be to have one step step stool for short people to get on the beds.
We stayed her to do some hiking at the surrounding state parks. The house is off the main street of Gloucester and easy walking to restaurants, bakery, brewery. Large yard on a quiet street. House is a nice mix of modern renovation and original interior. Beds are very comfy and the house was clean. 2 porches, one in the front and an enclosed porch in the back were great for coffee and dining outside. Close to grocery and other shopping and easy to get to Yorktown. We will be back.
Really enjoyed our stay at this home, which we used as a jump-off point to area attractions including the Jamestown Settlement, Colonial Williamsburg, and several state parks. The home was beautifully remodeled and decorated, extremely clean, and included everything you need. The best feature, however, was the very walkable distance (half a street!) to the charming historic Gloucester Main Street with restaurants, shops, a cafe, several historic landmarks and sidewalks the whole way. We were fortunate to time our visit with the blooming daffodils and this area is known for these beautiful flowers— read about their history in the small town park right off the main strip. Thank you for a great trip!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The home was very fresh and clean. However, we would have preferred to have a TV, so we could have kicked back to watch a movie at night.
What a wonderful place to stay! The home is incredible, with an amazing sunroom and excellent kitchen! Wish we could transport the entire place into our actual apartment — very lovely, and such a nice treat to experience the town of Gloucester. Hope to stay here again!
We were traveling from Texas to Maine and needed a place to stay in the area while visiting friends on our route. The house was clean, tastefully decorated, comfortable beds, well stocked and owners/property management company had good communication.
