We came for the Urbanna oyster festival and found the cottage to be a perfect landing spot for us. Charming, clean, beautiful view, and well stocked!

Perfect for sunsets and birdwatching

It was the perfect location for a relaxing long weekend. The place is very nice, very clean, perfect for a couple, with a beautiful view on the river and beautiful sunsets. The screened in porch is great and we got to see bald eagles from the backyard. We will definitely come back off season for another quiet stay.

Great little house on the water

Such a cute little house on a beautiful piece of the Piankatank. Everything you could ever need is provided. I could just sit on the dock forever. We caught a couple of nice crabs...and threw them back. Delightful getaway.

One of the best VRBO's we've ever stayed in! The property was extremely clean and exactly as described. We appreciated the little touches by the owners - jars of individually wrapped q-tips and make-up remover, fluffy bathroom towels, a full candy jar stocked with chocolate just to name a few. We would definitely return to this property.

Beautiful house with amazing view!

The house was very clean and cozy! We really enjoyed kayaking on the river and fishing on the pier!!! The food out in town was tasty as well. However the best part was fishing on the pier at 0700 with 4 bald eagles flying over top of us... Total peace and amazement, thank you so much for having us!!!!

Best river cottage ever

The cottage was fantastic! We only had a short time there because my daughter got married at Wilton House Plantation. The cottage was very clean and well maintained and had everything we needed and more. We plan to come back this upcoming summer for another visit to enjoy the kayaking and the outside fire pit area. It is so quiet and peaceful, and the view is gorgeous! Rent this place and you definitely won't be disappointed!

Heavenly

Even though hurricane Ophelia showed herself, we had a perfect stay.. the river held its own beauty, showing off whitecaps and stormy clouds. We were just as cozy as we could be on the screen porch, and loved every minute of it. Once the storm passed, we were able to fish and crab from the dock, and do well in both. Definitely one of our favorites VRBO stays and we will be back.

Amazing property!

This was seriously one of the best rentals we've ever stayed! It was very clean, all the "extras" were of great quality and very well thought-out....extra blankets, fully stocked kitchen with every appliance you could need, ample towels and bath supplies, complete outdoor rec gear; just to name a few. The neighborhood was quiet and the view was amazing! I can't say enough about the quality and attention to detail this house had. Thanks for everything!

Wonderful girls getaway!

Very cozy, nice decor, clean and a beautiful view with majestic eagles flying over the water. The kitchen is stocked with most any pot, pan or utensil you would need to cook a meal or there are restaurants and a grocery store within 15 minutes. It was cold outside and took us a while to figure out to keep the bedrooms and the bathroom doors closed (they run cool) to warm up the living room and kitchen and then it was great. Highly recommended this for friends or small family get away. The place is small but laid out well. We will probably be back.

AWESOME TRIP

From check-in to check out, EVERYTHING WAS EXCEPTIONAL. Kim really did an amazing job at ensuring our family had a wonderful experience. This place was top notch. Great use of space. Smelled amazing, VERY CLEAN, almost everything was provided that a family could need which added to an even more relaxing trip! Kim responded to any questions we had during our visit and was very helpful with helping us navigate the area. The only downfall is that we didn't stay longer! Thank you so much for making this such a beautiful trip for our family!!! All the details that were paid attention to made the stay super family friendly and very welcoming!The dock and screen porch were super enjoyable. As far as possible suggestions, maybe a thermacell for the end of the dock, a little bit more dock lighting and some sort of adjustable shades for the screen porch.

Didn't want to leave!

The moment we walked in, we knew we weren't going to want to leave! What a find! This place had so many amenities, was beautifully decorated and everything was comfortable! If you're a nature, water or sunset lover, THIS is the place for you! Already missing our nightly sunsets from the dock and sitting out on the huge screened in porch listening to all the sounds from nature and smelling the pines. We did a lot of sightseeing/daytrips each day but made sure to be home for the sunsets! We will definitely be back! And, we'll definitely try out the kayaks and have a fire next time around. The minute we walked in the stress melted away and calm took over. Oh and one last thing, the neighborhood was very quiet and welcoming as was the town, everyone was very friendly.

Instant calm!

From the minute we walked through the door, we felt instant calm. This is one of my top 2 vrbo experiences ever! So clean and welcoming with so many amenities. The kitchen was fully stocked with dishes, cooking utensils, you name it which was helpful since we cooked so much due to food allergies. Quiet neighborhood in a very welcoming town with so many sightseeing areas within 45 minutes. The highlight of this rental is the amazing, large screened in porch and private dock with a picnic table. We made sure we were home each evening to enjoy the sunset and then enjoy the porch listening to sounds of nature and breathing in the pine trees. While we didn't get a chance to use the firepit, kayaks, etc. we will definently be back to try everything out. The owners have truly thought of everything!

Great Cottage

My sister and I, both in our 60s, spent a few days in this cottage as part of our yearly Sister Vacation tradition. We had such a nice time! Upon entering the cottage, the first thing you notice is how exceptionally clean it is. It smelled amazing and was spotless. The amenities included are top-notch. Towels were plentiful, and the linens and super comfortable beds made for very peaceful sleep. We utilized the kayaks (life vests also provided). The setting is so peaceful beautiful. It's a very quiet neighborhood. We grilled on the fire pit which has a grill top. Be careful, though, the bottom of the fire pit is starting to rust through. It works if you keep your charcoal to one side. Communication with host was exceptional. We had terrible storms when we first checked in and ended up losing power. Because the house has well water, we lost running water as well. The cottage caretaker, Kim, and her son-in-law, Brian came to our rescue. Brian brought us jugs of water, extra flashlights, and bags of ice to save our food. Their concern and service went above and beyond and we were so appreciative! Thanks again Kim and Brian! Don't miss out on this amazing property. We hope to return in the future!
