Such a quiet, peaceful space. The bungalow was comfortable and spacious with everything you need for a few days retreat. Having the BBQ meant that we could cook a meal for ourselves. Just note there is only the BBQ and microwave for food preparation, which worked perfectly with some planning. The bungalow was thoughtfully and tastefully furnished; spacious bathroom and extremely comfortable bed. Was lovely having a stroll through the gardens and yards, we even got to feed the alpacas and learned a lot about them! Claire and Rob are always around the farm and easily contactable if you need them, otherwise they are very conscious of guests privacy. We highly recommend the farm stay and I think it will become our home away from home when we are visiting the area.
A quaint little cottage on a farm. Very well maintained, clean, cozy and comfortable, with every amenity. We had a very peaceful and relaxing weekend, enjoyed the scenery from the outdoor setting, and were greeted by very friendly pup regularly. The setting is beautiful, and we were well looked after!
Two nights of absolute bliss. The property is beautiful, my children loved running around looking at the animals. I found the stay to be very peaceful. The highlights were getting to meet the chickens, feed the alpacas and pick fruit from the trees. Thank you for a wonderful stay, we look forward to returning in the future. :)
We stayed in this beautiful accomodation whilst attending a wedding in Hesse. The accomodation was beautifully furnished, clean and had everything we were looking for. The owners Clare and Rob were friendly and accomadating and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this farm stay.
What a beautiful space! From even before our arrival we were warmly welcomed and we absolutely loved staying at this working sheep farm. The bed was super comfortable and facilities fantastic, even with unexpected extras - yum, thank you. Just so peaceful, beautiful and close to everything. Great eats recommendations, best hosts ever & missing your friendly pup already! Will definitely be back thank you 🥰, Julie & Andy
My family of four, including a 4yo & 9yo, had a wonderful stay here. The hosts were super friendly and lovely to chat with. The bungalow was perfectly clean and so comfortable! The farm is lovely with sheep, alpaca and chickens.
We were incredibly fortunate to see a wedge tailed eagle fly above the property!
Location-wise, it’s a 30min drive to fabulous Torquay beach or roam further along the Great Ocean Rd and for supplies - just 20 mins to Waurn Ponds for everything you could need.
This was our best stay in Geelong so far. The host was very friendly and welcoming. We even had a lovely surprise by getting in close contact with the alpacas and the sheep. The kids definitely loved their experience and they asked when we could come back here next time. The house itself with its furnishings and everything was well supplied for the purpose of our stay. Every little touch within the house was well thought of. All in all, we highly recommend this home. It's a definitely 'nah-worry' stay for our family. :)
Entry is a short walk of perhaps 50m across lawn.
Sheep & alpacas file past the fences a little distance from the cabin, close enough to be entertaining but not close enough to be disturbing. Three varieties of butterflies when I was there, tall trees are close to but not overhanging the cabin and outside deck.
The small inside table has rounded bolts on the top, so anything A4 size or larger can't be laid flat. Plenty of room on the outside table on the deck though if you need to spread out, otherwise sit on the large rug in the lounge.
Kitchenette is designed for cuppas and re-heating meals.
A great place to stay if you are looking to unwind. The property is kept very clean and has everything needed for your stay. The surrounds are quiet and peaceful. Friendly alpacas and sheep.
It was such a lovely place. Clare was such a nice host. My 4 year old loved playing with the lambs and feeding the alpacas - will definitely visit again during summer. Amazing experience and just the kind of weekend getaway we were looking for.
Welcoming bungalow getaway for the long weekend. Lovely touches from the hosts to make it a fun and comfortable stay for our family of four. The kids loved waking up and seeing sheep and Alpacas so close. Thank you!
It was an amazingly relaxing stay. Kids loved the place, and we were so happy how clean the place was. Rob and Clare are wonderful hosts, and Clare made us a delicious brecky that we all enjoyed!!
We highly recommend the place love the surroundings and its just 15mins from Geelong.
My wife and I had the most amazing time, the place is lovely, views amazing and the hosts are truly great people.
We were lucky enough to be able to join the hosts to feed the alpacas and see the little baby alpacas which made my wife’s day.
I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a great farm stay!
We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful, light filled little bungalow. The location was perfect for us as we were hoping to have a breath of fresh air after starting our week in the hustle and bustle of Melbourne. The whole family loved all of animals (especially the baby alpacas). Clare was a wonderful host and we would highly recommend for anyone wanting a relaxing escape.
We stayed two nights and were impressed with the hospitality of the owners who gave us a tour of their farm, which was a hit with the kids. The cabin had everything we needed and was perfect for a short stay to break up a long drive between locales.
Took our family of 4 for a quiet weekend getaway. The relaxed, elegant atmosphere adds to the feeling of serenity inside the cottage. The kids enjoyed the farming aspect (learning about living on the farm) and the hosts were very friendly and accommodating - highly recommend!!!
Dec 2021 we needed to self quarantine for 72 hrs following our long haul flights from Ireland. This location was an excellant choice as we had complete solitude for the duratuon of our stay. Claire was extremely helpful offering to grocery shop for us but as our daughter in law brought out provisions from Geelong before we arrived, we didn't need Claire's help. We spent our time reading, walking the farm and resetting our body clock. A very comfortable property for a great retreat.
