"My friend and I stayed at Smaragdi Hotel in Perissa from July 25–29, 2026, and had an amazing experience. The entire property was clean, quiet, and beautifully maintained, creating a relaxing atmosphere throughout our stay. Our room was spotless, comfortable, and clearly cared for with attention to detail. The staff were friendly, helpful, and always willing to assist, especially with arranging transportation. A helpful tip: if you book a transfer to Fira or Oia, make sure you also arrange your return. We didn’t realize everything closes around midnight, and late‑night taxis charge premium rates—we paid about €20 extra because we hadn’t pre‑booked. While there’s no room service, breakfast can be added to your stay. The hotel also has a convenient vending machine stocked with snacks, drinks, water, and alcoholic beverages. The location is excellent—just half a block from Perissa’s black sand beach and close to many restaurants and a small supermarket for snacks or essentials. We had no complaints at all. Smaragdi Hotel is perfect if you’re cost‑conscious but still want a clean, safe, and pretty place to stay. We truly enjoyed our time here and would absolutely book it again."

"A great place to relax and unwind and take in the sun. Marina and Michalis are perfect caring hosts. The rooms are spotlessly clean and the bathrooms are the same, all having be tastefully refurbished. The pool has sunbeds aplenty and there is a pool bar always staffed, Marina and Michalis, keep the pool area clean, tidy and safe, like the rest of Villa Valvis. We will be will be back again. Jill and Roger"

"Good value for money. Lovely room although the bathroom was very small. No housekeeping service which wasn’t a problem as we didn’t need it. But could do with the floor being swept. Pool area is lovely but there is no shade so it’s hard to spend the day there. Although the beach is a short walk away. Lovely bakery at the bottom of the road is great for breakfast. Loads of restaurants within walking distance."
