Perfect location for a ski break with quick access to the slopes. Friendly staff and good accommodation. Only down side is the walking distance to Ellmau if you have kids.

Great location, wonderful rooms with awesome views, loved the 2 story suite we received. Very UNCOMFORTABLE during breakfast buffet since there were so many kids which were unaccompanied by parents. They were grabbing the food with their hands and coughing and sneezing all over the openly served buffet food. We were there in February 2020 and the virus had already started, unacceptable in our opinion !!!!

I was traveling alone but my room was actually a suite/apartment with a separate bedroom, a sitting area, a kitchen and a dining area. There was also a nice balcony with lounge chairs and a nice view. Overall service was very good and the breakfast buffet was very good. My only criticism is that the room had not been refurbished in some time and the bed in particular was in need of replacement. Overall I enjoyed my stay and consider it a good value.

Perfect for Skiing.
The hotel is well situated mid-way between Ellmau and Going, right next to the main ski lift. Shops are a 10 - 15 minute walk into either town. The welcome was friendly, the room large, parking was easy (and free). There is a nice spa (pool, steam and sauna). Breakfast was excellent and dinner was good once the hotel had stopped the Friday/Saturday buffets in favour of pre-ordering at breakfast. If it is buffet night then get down to dinner by 1845. The hotel lack a little of the charm often found in Austria but can certainly be recommended.

Super hotel right on ski slope
Totally enjoyed our stay. Steps to ski rental place and chairlift. Lovely sauna and pool afterwards in hotel. Excellent breakfast. As another traveller noted, request the discount card when you check in. Easy 10 min walk to Ellmau.

Superb ski resort right at the ski lift
Friendly staffs, excellent location for ski and sledge. Close to eatieries, supermarket. The view from the room is also stunning. The staffs are very accommodating, we were there during christmas and most resturant were fully booked. They made many phone calls for us and found available resturant for dinner on Christmas eve. Cannot think of any bad experience with the hotel. Strongly recommend it especiallly for family .

A must stay if you’re in the area!
Loved this place. We visited in the fall, so no snow to take advantage of. Want to head back here in the winter. It’s right on a ski run and would be an ideal place to stay and ski. We got upgraded to a junior suite at no add’l charge. Excellent room and one of the best breakfasts we had on the trip.

Great hotel in a village
It's a hotel where you can really unwind. The only problem is that it's a bit hard to reach with public transportation so plan on taking a taxi. The hotel is on its own about 10 minutes walk from either Going or Ellmau. The rooms are really nice and well appointed and it's in a very quiet and relaxing area.

Big hotel amenities, intimate setting
The hotel is set in a spectacular location, near to all sorts of outdoors activities. The hotel has all the amenities of a big hotel but in an intimate, family style setting.

Stay at cordial hotel going
Lovely hotel with amazing views in a small village. The room had everything we needed including a small kitchenette, hairdryer and large balcony with chairs so we could make the most of the views and the weather. All the stars we spoke to were friendly and chatty and there was a large selection available for breakfast

Fantastic! Total punt as needed a few nights in a ski resort and few hotel available due to the dates running out of sync with the usual packages etc. Sceptical but all fears quickly allayed on arrival. I think Cordial is an Austrian small chain and I have to say that the service, food, cleanliness and general treatment was phenomenal. This is only enhanced by the fact that residents are only 10mins walk from Ellmau which is great for Apres and about 50 metres away from the lift pass office and a major chair lift (in fact one blue run passes beside the hotel!). 10% off ski hire from the shop also only 50 metres away was also a very nice touch.

Loved this authentic mountain room. We had a huge porch looking at the mountain range. Bed was a bit hard, but loved the experience. We only stayed one night as we headed on to Innsbruck. Wish we had more time to explore the quaint villages near by. This place is a get away from it all location in the summer, but right next to ski lift for winter.

Fantastic authentic ski hotel!
A fantastic small hotel with the most fantastic helpful staff, we were pretty much the only English there at the time and they made a huge effort to make us feel welcome. Wonderful food and everything we could have wanted, our room (only a standard) was spacious and had the most fantastic views onto the slopes, a tv is not necessary (although we had a large flat screen) as we just watched people skiing down the slopes from our balcony or bed on the short occasions we weren't skiing ourselves. Absolutely fantastic hotel.

Great Hotel for Everyone!
This hotel could very easily become a 5* with just a couple of additions. Overall happy with our stay. The charge of 10 euros a day per dog is high, but although we are careful that our dog doesn't incur extra cleaning for the hotel staff, other clients my not be the same. Suited us not having breakfast included and could book daily if required. With using "top cashback " we stayed for just over £20 per night in August......so amazing value compared to what is on over for this country! A beautiful part of Austria to stay....never lets you down....36 years of travelling to this area!. Adriana England

Das Hotel selbst und dessen Inventar ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen und könnte ein "update" vertragen. Aus meiner Sicht passt Preis und Leistung nicht so ganz zusammen. Es ist ok - wird aber nicht erste Wahl. Für den Wintersport ist sicherlich von Vorteil, dass das Hotel nur ein paar meter oberhalb des Lifteinstieges liegt. Was sicherlich aber auch an manchen Wintertagen für "Park-Frust" sorgen könnte. Ich war im Sommer hier und da war es keinerlei Problem.

Schneller Check In, geräumige gute Zimmer, sagenhafter Ausblick auf das Kaisergebirge, sehr ruhig, Sauna, Pool, tolles Frühstück. Sehr nett und aufgeschlossen war die Frühstücksbedienung. Das Hotel ist sehr ruhig, Parkplätze reichlich direkt vor dem Haus vorhanden. Restaurant ca. 500m entfernt. Alles bestens für schöne Ulaubstage oder zur Durchreise.

Lage zum Skilift ist ein Traum! Ansonsten ist es innen ein wenig oldschool und verlebt. Zimmer sind angenehm groß. Frühstück ist okay.

Gefallen hat uns natürlich die Lage direkt am Hang/Piste. Weiterhin die netten Damen am Empfang. Auch der Sauna und Schwimmbadbereich ist sauber und ausreichend. Leider fanden wir das Servicepersonal etwas schläfrig... und beim Gourmet-Abendessen kann man das Wort "Gourmet" streichen. Aber es hat trotzdem geschmeckt und wir sind immer satt geworden. Wenn wir wieder zum "Wilden Kaiser" wollen, kommen wir sicher wieder ins Cordinal...
