The vacuum cleaners near the pool table are only for smaller items such as lint and dust. As mentioned in the welcome pack email, there are two more robust powerful vacuum cleaners for your use in the bedroom’s cupboards. Sorry to hear that the floor mop was a bit on the nose. Hello Lisa, It is good to hear you thought the house was great. I asked our gardener about the few weeds between the pavers near the BBQ and on the front steps and they had already been sprayed but not pulled out at the time, as the weeds had not died yet. I.e. if weeds are pulled out before they die, if any roots remain in the ground, they are like being pruned and multiply and grow back again. No one else had noticed or commented about the three broken wooden bar room window shutters. They have been fixed. You mentioned that the pool was too hot for some of the guests. Whilst it can be heated to 30 degrees, it can't be cooled down if it gets hotter than this but would have been cooler by late afternoons to mid mornings. Heated pools for recreational use are heated up to 30-32 degrees. Swimming training pools to 28 degrees. Our pool guy said it may have been as hot as 33-34 degrees as it was exceptionally hot weather for many days in a row during your stay. You may find Spring or Autumn weather more congenial on the Gold Coast. Thank you for staying happy travels. Regards Andrew

Hello Trish, I am glad that you liked the property's location and that there was plenty of room for your group and everything you needed for your stay. Prior to guests checking in chemicals are put into the spa bath to make it clean. The chemicals tend to settle, so for a sensitive nose it may have a slight pungent chemical smell. Once the bubble jets are turned on for a few minutes the chemicals are dissipated and the pungency goes away. My apologies about the stain on a bedcover in the master bedroom. Our linen is laundered by the local laundromat. Both the launderer and the housekeeper are astute at checking for linen stains. I can only surmise that it was a small stain and neither of them noticed it. Yes, new gap sand had just been put in the small gaps between the pavers, it has now settled in. The houses door mats should have stopped the gap sand getting inside. Our plumber sets the tap water pressure to the recommended and mandatory maximum medium water pressure level of 500 KPA. This allows for large groups to have many showers in a row and also use two showers at the same time. Furthermore, the solar hot water heating system with electric back up is a large one, and no one has ever commented the water goes cold in the showers. It is good to hear you thought the house was good value for money for a large group. Regards Andrew

Hello Linda, it is good to hear you thought the property's location is great and that the house meet your holiday requirements. My apologies that one of the door handles broke on the bedroom door. It has been fixed. The gardener applied spray to some small weeds on the front courtyard lawn before the weeds got to big. The spay dries in a few minutes and is benign. That said I understand your concern. My apologies that one bedroom smelt of cigarette smoke. Most groups comply to our no smoking in the house rule, but on the odd occasion they do not. Hopefully this will not occur again, as to comply with the new smoke detector laws for holiday accommodation rentals in Queensland, sensitive smoke detectors have recently been installed in every room of the house. If anyone needs to smoke inside a house then please do not make a booking with us. Yes, the house is a great size. There are three cane stools and four wooden kitchen stools and a table with four chairs nearby the pool table. I.e. plenty of seating in this area. It comes down to your decor style being different to ours, as we don't want to clutter up the pool table area with a sofa beside the pool table. You mentioned there was not enough seating for your large group to sit around a TV. I say to the contrary. In the living room if you use some of the dining room seats beside the sofa and sofa chair, this is adequate seating for about a dozen people, and for the bar room TV area this large table has ten seats and additional outdoor seats, and outdoor sofa are available for the bar room pergola area to also watch TV. Hello Tara, it is good to hear you thought Kooroora is a great house. A starter kit of toilet paper and hand soap is provided for guests. Thereafter as per the meet and greet email guests are asked to BYO. I.e. there are more pertinent essentials included in the holiday such as Foxtel, Netflix, unlimited free Wi-Fi and tv's in five rooms. The glassware stock in the kitchen and bar room including beer and wine glasses appear to be a bit sparse and have now been topped up. Thanks for letting us know about this. Had you of let us know during your stay the glassware would have been updated then. I hope your young children were able to use the plastic cups provided.
