Awesome 3-day summer stay. Incredibly friendly and helpful hosts. Breakfasts were amazing! Great reccos from hosts re things to do up on the mountain and locally and places to eat! Room and beds super comfy! Can’t wait to go back!

Great home base for exploring Yoho NP. Quaint atmosphere. Fantastic breakfast included. Great restaurant next door for dinners. Walk to gondola. Kim and Izzy were delightful hosts. Can’t go wrong staying here. Super clean and quiet room.

Excellent place to stay in Golden. Kim was a wonderful host and made sure we had everything we needed. The breakfasts are to die for- and she even got a to go breakfast ready one morning when we wanted to make an early start. The loft room was perfect when traveling with our 15 year old daughter. Highly recommend!

Nestled at the base of Kicking Horse Mountain

Once you arrive you forget about living in the city and the hectic pace of everyday living. You are greeted by the owners and made to feel welcome upon arrival. After you view the entire lodge you can settle into your room or rest in the lounge/living room where others guests talk about the ventures for the day or where they are going to go next. Once again the owners will share with you hikes within the area or assist you in discovering something you have never experienced before. The most relaxing holiday in years!

A most welcoming treatment by owners.

The lodge is in an isolated area developed mostly for skiing and hiking. We made it in mid September just before closing for the summer season. The owners who live on the site were most helpful and friendly in assisting our travel plans to the Icefields Parkway located about 100 km away and then off to Banff and Lake Louise.

Relaxation in comfort and beauty

This is a gorgeous lodge run by friendly and helpful people. It was a delightful place for rest and relaxation in a beautiful mountain setting. Would totally recommend it! We would love to return someday.

Nous sommes allés en haut du mont kicking horse. Très beaux sentiers de randonnée. Bon restaurant en haut de la montagne. Les hôtes de l'hôtel Vagabond Lodge sont très accueillants. Endroit recommandé.

Excellent sur toute la ligne!!!

Très bel endroit situé à quelques pas des pistes (ski in, ski out). Très propre également. Ken et Lori sont des hôtes extraordinaires!!! Les repas inclus sont de bonne qualité. Nous allons certainement y retourner! Nous le recommandons à tous!!! A++++++++++++++

Beautiful lodge with fantastic hosts

Stayed here for 3 nights and absolutely loved it. We stayed in room 6 which had two small double beds and was a split level room. Ken and Laurie are the hosts and they made the stay extra special. They were always willing to go the extra mile. The hot tub outside was always a welcome relief after a long day on the slopes. The breakfast and lunch supplied were also top quality.
