"Jennifer's Cottage Room in Summerland, CA was a cozy little refresher. Trees and vines make for an intimate green space (check out the pictures.) Jennifer's was my getaway from noise, cement and traffic in LA. Great for a single or a couple. Summerland, California is a nice little sea side town just minitues from Santa Barbara. There are a wide variety of activities in the area, sun and sand, surfing lessons, vineyard tours, horseback riding--something for everyone. Just go and enjoy yourself!"

"We were so impressed with everything at Anavo Farms. Jen has created such a beautiful space- I felt like I was walking through a storybook. They have everything you could need available. There is definitely no roughing it here! Her tips helped us have a wonderful stay. Feeding the animals while having morning coffee, wine by the fire pit, sunrise from the upstairs balcony. "We enjoyed our stay very much! The house is located in a quiet neighborhood, close to everything we were in town for. The beds are comfortable. The home was very clean and homey. It felt like we were staying with family. We didn’t end up cooking, but the kitchen is well stocked. The yard is quite large and fully fenced in. We enjoyed the privacy. The driveway has plenty of parking. It was chilly when we were in town so didn’t use the A/C. There’s a cute playroom off the kitchen that’s perfect...

"Upon arrival we were a little concerned. The outside of the building looked a little dated and worn. Stepping inside the lobby it was nothing fancy, but it was clean and well maintained. They had a complementary coffee machine with a variety of choices and cookies to go with it. Heading up to the room on the 3rd floor we were still a little worried about what we would find. Opening the door we were pleasantly surprised! The room was clean and well maintained! You can tell it’s an older property, but it’s been nicely renovated. The bed was comfortable, the a/c worked great, and the water pressure in the shower was good! The following morning they offered a very light breakfast snack of oatmeal and some pastries with orange juice and the above mentioned coffee machine. The old real downside was the pool and hot tub. It’s a very small area and while the pool water was clear, the hot tub looked a bit off. The area itself could use a little love to make it more inviting. With all that said, it’s a solid property, great staff, close to the water and restaurants. We would not hesitate to stay there again!"
