Updated and renovated Hideaway Apartment with brand-new kitchen! Charming!

  • Tucked away from the noise and busyness of everyday life, is a quiet hideaway located just a few miles outside the quaint little Village of Intercourse, PA. Many Lancaster County attractions are nearby: Kitchen Kettle, Strasburg Railroad, Dutch Wonderland, Amish Quilt Shops, Rockvale and Tanger Outlet Malls, Sight and Sound Millenium Theatre, Shady Maple Restaurant/Smorgasboard and other Restaurants with Amish Cooking, Buggy Rides, Hot Air Balloon Rides.

    The apartment (over 850 sq. ft!), tucked in a cozy space beneath an extension of the owner's home, is warmly decorated and peaceful. Renovations in 2023 include a new kitchen, freshly-painted walls, enhanced lighting, and new furniture. It offers a comfortable mattress, flat-screen TV/DVD, seating area with fireplace, dining table and stocked kitchen (sink/refrigerator/stove/microwave/coffee maker.) A small stackable washer and dryer can be used for small loads of laundry. There is a separate parking area for our Hideaway guests. The spacious backyard features a large gazebo, perfect for picnics, and you are invited to stroll through perennial gardens bursting with color during the summer, or relax on the swing or in the hammock.

The Hideaway well exceeded our expectations. It was impeccable as far as cleanliness. The kitchen and bathroom was well stocked with whatever a guest would need during their stay. We needed a few days to unwind before meeting up with family for an anniversary gathering for my parents. The Hideaway offered just that and more! Beautifully kept yard offered private gazebo area for morning coffee and afternoon reading space. Thought the Hideaway offers comfortable chairs and couch area for gathering as well. We truly enjoyed our stay!

perfect weekend getaway

The Hideaway was the perfect place for my boyfriend and I to stay for a short weekend getaway. The property was very clean, fully equipped with everything you could need, and the free coupons to their coffee shop was a great touch! Their golden retriever, Riley, was super friendly and always greeted us with a wagging tail. The Smuckers were great hosts, they responded quickly to messages, and made the check in/out process very easy. We definitely plan to stay again!

We absolutely loved our stay, the hideaway was clean, beautiful and comfortable. Everything we could have needed was provided and wonderful little extras like the amish friendship bread and delicious coffee! Nice Hideaway For A Solo Retreat

The details of the renovation and upgrades were breathtaking and inviting with giving the space a nice smooth flow. I was able to use every area during my stay. This getaway was a solo one for me to have quiet time to meet with the Lord God in prayer and listening to His voice of instructions for me. Also gave me the space to work on my vision board. I brought my own food and enjoyed using the kitchen to cook my daily meals. Everything needed was supplied. I'm glad I found this place. Owner was very accommodating.

The Hideaway was Excellent

We loved this property. The kitchen was clean and roomy and had everything we needed. The seating area was very nice and comfortable with plenty of tables for drinks and snacks. The bed was super comfy. I felt like my body just melted into the mattress. I slept so well. The TV was situated so it could be seen from the seating area and the bedroom area. The chairs in the seating area were turned away from it, but the sofa was sitting towards it so it was fine for the two of us. There were PLENTY of towels, washcloths and hand soap in the bathroom. There was even a hand mirror. There were nice thoughtful “extras” everywhere. Everything I seemed to need was there and so convenient. Since we were there in June the BEAUTIFUL flowers were in bloom. The landscape was just lovely and well tended. The family who owned it was so nice and friendly. We enjoyed meeting and talking to them. I wish we had run into each other again I highly recommend this property. You cannot go wrong staying here.
