Perfect retreat for those who are looking for tranquility and peace at nature’s heart. And you get everything you need in short distances. We had a really good time!
If you love nature and tranquility this spot is perfect! The house is comfortable and clean and what makes this place truly special is the location and warm welcome from Clare and Andy. During our stay we were lucky to see beavers, vultures, kingfishers as well as hearing owls, deer and some animals dancing on the roof in the night!
The village of Sainte Enimie is really close for restaurants and provisions and from there you can pick up the footpaths running along the river Tarn, with stunning scenery at every turn.
Would definitely recommend you visiting here without hesitation.
This old stone house is built up against a cliff in the Tarn River Gorge, a place of exceptional beauty. We stayed in early spring and enjoyed the fresh greenery, bird songs and the occasional fox sighting. It's very secluded yet convenient to town and exploring the area. The house has a well equipped kitchen, good lighting, a comfy sofa for evenings and a very good bed. The porch offers a fine view of the river and canyon and is great for eating out. Clare and Alex have worked hard to make this a five-star experience, and we appreciate their hospitality.
Heerlijk gehad.
Peaceful location by River Tarn in a beautiful setting
A wonderful stay in Clare and Andy's beautiful gite near the banks of the river Tarn. The wild flowers and wildlife in the area were amazing and the wildlife environment that Clare and Andy are creating was inspirational. A great area to stay with plenty of activities - we particularly enjoyed canoeing on the river - and some beautiful villages. We had a great time and hope to return.

Patrick Pierre
From the minute we arrived we felt relaxed, comfortable and welcomed. Clare and Andy are very knowledgable about the Cevennes and care very much about the environment they look after which is what makes this place part of the cevennes and not just somewhere in the cevennes. The gite was cute and perfectly formed, the location is absolutely beautiful having its own private beach, pretty river and stunning backdrop. We spent a lot of time just sitting on the patio listening and watching all the wildlife, we were in heaven. Just 2km away is Saint Enimie, a really pretty medieval village full of character and many shops and restaurants. The Gorge du Tarn is just stunning and we absolutely loved it. We will definitely return in the not too distant future.
