Good stay in the heart of town
Pros: Clean room, fast service and fast invoice preparation. Excellent choice of meal at breakfast. Superb location in the centre. of the town. Free wi-fi. Cons: bad smell from bathroom.

Friendly hotel in centre of Gorlitz
Friendly, clean hotel in the centre of the beautiful town of Gorlitz. I would recommend it and would stay here again.

I still recommend this hotel
The hotel is a nice old hotel and it is very conviently located within walking distance of the restaurants and museums. If you come by car there is a parking garage nearby that will cost 6 Euros per 24 hours. I had to give a low mark for room comfort because the room was very small with very little space for clothing and personal items. There is no air conditioning and it was extremely hot and stuffy at night which made it difficlt to sleep. I had stayed in this hotel many times before and there are bigger rooms available so if it is in a season where there is hot weather one might consider a larger room on a lower floor. I would still recommend this hotel if you want to have everything in close proximity.

I booked 2 rooms, one for me and one for my daughter. Both rooms were clean and comfortable. They were of course smaller than an American hotel room but entirely adequate. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Excellent city hotel to explore Goerlitz.
Had a lovely overnight stay here recently. Reception staff very friendly and willing to help. Lovely twin room and bathroom. Highly recommended.

Great location, great value
Right on Marienplatz in the center of the Gorlitz old town. You can walk to most of the major sights in 10 minutes or less. Friendly staff. Not a huge room, but it was fine and very comfortable. Didn't try the restaurant.

Nice hotel - would stay again
The hotel was in a good location - right on a main platz and also probably the first main hotel on the way in from the train station right as you are about to reach the old town. I had some issues with changing travel plans and the staff was very helpful to me in making the changes. I would definitely stay again - in fact I checked out and then ended up spending the entire day in Gorlitz and so checked back in!

Watch Your Time of Year to Visit!
Older hotel, and not exactly in the center of the city, although close (2-3 blocks). Room was small, but clean and adequate. However, the climate control is limited to a heater, not air conditioning. Several have remarked on this. Do no visit this hotel if the weather is hot, no fans are provided, the rooms get very hot during the day and don't cool off at night. The free internet was frustrating as it requires you to log onto the hotel page, give your email address AND EMAIL PASSWORD, to use it. Fail to confirm in 30 min and you're locked out forever. Logging in alone wasn't intuitive, the directions inadequate.

The hotel room was very nice and "homey". Even with our room being on the top floor and the ceiling having the typical angular share, the room had extra character because of this. The room was decorated very nicely. The TV was a new Samsung LCD type. The shower I wasn't especially fond of, being there was no tub or splash pan; there was only a drain and a lip created by the tile so the water wouldn't spread across the floor, but water did splash a bit...not a problem. The old town shopping area was only a block away where there were many good restaurants and shops.

Beautiful hotel
This is a beautiful hotel. We had two rooms and stayed over one night. My daughter and her husband had one room with a two year old. My husband and I had another room with our six year old granddaughter. The rooms are beautiful with the crown moldings. There is not air conditioning but the windows do open. This is a little dangerous with little ones as there is no safety precautions for the open windows. We walked to ice cream for a snack and then a bakery for morning breakfast. The hotel does have a restaurant. We had no trouble communicating with the hotel staff.

Sorat Hotel Goerlitz
Our stay coincided with a bit of a heat wave. As the rooms have no air-con, we asked for a fan. Unfortunately there were none so we had to open the windows. This meant trying to sleep through background city noise: street cleaners etc Please make fans available at reception. However, the location was perfect for an overnight stop as everywhere was within walking distance.

Centrally located hotel
Well located hotel in the picturesque centre of Görlitz, about 10-15 mins walk from the station. Good base for exploring Eastern Saxony. Only quibble was that there was no room safe and the safe at reception was too small for a laptop.

Pleasant and reasonably attractive
We found the Hotel Sorat pleasant and clean, with a good breakfast buffet. Since it is right on a square near a daily market, we were worried about noise, but it turned out to be relatively quiet. Daytime staff spoke English, evening staff did not, but were able to communicate anyway.

入住登記的接待小姐英文很不好，連問她隱形眼鏡藥水在哪裡可以買到,居然說她不知道，臉超臭。用餐回來房鎖還壞掉，打不開門。 第二天換了另一位櫃檯小姐，非常親切，終於可以順利用英文溝通，還協助我打德國境內電話，很感謝她。

Hotel altamente recomendado.
Hotel muito aconchegante, muito bem localizado, ao lado da Frauenkirche e em frente do pequeno shopping da cidade. A acomodação é espaçosa e confortável. Limpeza muito boa e tudo estava perfeito. O café da manhã é saboroso porém simples. Mas tem todo o necessário. Hotel altamente recomendado.

Einizigartiges Jugendstil-Ambiente im Zentrum der Stadt. Verkehrlich gut gelegen, incl. des angebotenen, wenige Meter entfernten Parkhauses. Alles fußläufig in wenigen Minuten erreichbar. TIP: Nebenan (!) ist eine sehr zu empfehlende Fischgaststätte ("Gastmahl des Meeres") mit großem, vielfältigen Angebot, freundlichem Personal sowie leckerem Essen (auch für nicht Fischesser ist etwas dabei!)

Sehr angenehmes Hotel direkt in der Innenstadt
Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis war super. Das Personal ist überraschend nett und zuvorkommend. Das Hotel hat sogar einen Aufzug, liegt mitten in der Innenstadt, gegenüber vom ehemaligen Kaufhaus. Das Frühstück ist super und reichhaltig, es wird ständig nachgelegt und es gibt sogar Brötchen vom Bäcker. Wir hatten die größeren Zimmer gebucht, diese waren sehr geräumig und sauber. Ein Zimmer hatte einen wunderschönen Stuck an der Zimmerdecke. Man kann mit dem Auto bis ans Haus ranfahren (nur Parkverbot) und in der Umgebung gibt es kostenpflichtige (ich glaube 9:00 Uhr bis 19:00 Uhr) Parkplätze. Wir sind dann mit unseren Autos max. 1km aus der City rausgefahren und haben dort kostenfrei geparkt. Nur an der WLAN Versorgung könnten die Betreiber etwas verbessern, dies war etwas abenteuerlich, ist man nun on oder doch nicht?

Zentrales und schönes Hotel in Görlitz
Zentrales Hotel. Altstadt ist fußläufig erreichbar. Sehr freundliches Personal. Das Zimmer war ausreichend groß und entsprechend den Bildern eingerichtet. Leider hörte man andere Hotelgäste, insbesondere über dem Zimmer, übermäßig stark. Das Frühstück war ausreichend und der Frühstücksraum ist sehr schön eingerichtet mit Blick auf den Platz vor den Hotel. Insgesamt empfehlenswert. Es gibt für die diese Hotelkategorie nichts zu bemängeln.

Wir waren für eine Übernachtung/Frühstück im Hotel Am Goldenen Strauss. Der Empfang war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, fast schon herzlich - top! Das Zimmer insgesamt sehr sauber. Kleine Minibar, TV, im Bad alles, was man für eine Übernachtung benötigt, abgesehen von der Zahnbürste. Das Frühstücks Buffett war reichhaltig und ließ nichts vermissen. Leicht hektisch im Ablauf zu Stoßzeiten. Tipp: Kaffeesahne gibt es nur auf Bestellung bei der Buchung, sonst normale Milch. Bei der Buchung direkt im Hotel, wird man darauf hingewiesen, bei den einschlägigen Portalen leider nicht. Wenn es die Zeit erlaubt, unbedingt mal in "Die Kugel" einkehren. Ca. 300 m entfernt. Google hilft ;) Wunderschön angelegter Hofgarten, alternativ angehaucht, sehr nett, vegetarische/vegane Speisen und Getränke. Fazit zum Hotel und zu Görlitz: Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

Schönes Hotel in zentraler Lage
Das Hotel in historischem, renoviertem Gebäude liegt in unmittelbarer Nähe der Altstadt, sodass sich Görlitz' Sehenswürdigkeiten problemlos zu Fuß erkunden lassen. Hinsichtlich der Sauberkeit aller Einrichtungen gibt es keinen Grund zur Beanstandung. Allerdings sind die Einzelzimmer z. T. recht eng geschnitten und das Hotel verfügt über keine Klimaanlage, was insbesondere in den wärmeren Monaten den Räumen unterm Dach nicht immer zum Vorteil gereicht.

Wir waren vom 22.12. bis 25.12. in diesem Hotel. Das Zimmer war nicht weihnachtlich geschmückt. Wir können nur jeden raten fahrt nicht zu den Feiertagen in die Stadt Görlitz man ist nicht auf Touristen eingerichtet alle Restaurant sind geschlossen oder es ist nur möglich zu essen wenn du reserviert hast. leider gab es auch keine Information vom Hotel Personal so sind wir am Heiligen Abend total hungrig ins Bett gegangen und hatten auch an der Rezeption keinen Ansprechpartner den die war geschlossen. Es gab im Hotel ein Restaurant das war geschlossen und auch keine Bar wo man etwas zu trinken hätte bekommen können. Das war ein trauriges Weihnachtsfest, vielen Dank Hotel am Goldenen Strauß

Ein schönes Hotel in bester Lage in Görlitz. Zentraler geht es wohl nicht. Die Zimmer sind schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber in tadellosem Zustand. Besonders das Bad: komplett saniert und super toll. Gleichbleibend warmes Wasser, sehr sauber, sehr großzügig. Besonders das Restaurant / der Frühstücksraum besticht mit warmer Atmosphäre und einem sehr gediegenem Ambiente.

Ideal im Zentrum, und innen edlen Geschmack
Das war ein meines liebling Hotel welches ich in meinem Leben neben spanischen Paradors und französische Relais des Chateaux erlebt habe! Nächstes Besuch in Görlitz unbedingt dieses Hotel, mit Dank Ihrem günstigen Preis! Auch hat die Rezeption Leute sehr aufmerksam uns geholfen. Vielen lieben Dank!!

Komfortables Zimmer
schönes, solides Hotel im Zentrum, ca. 10 min Fußweg vom Bhf. Sehr gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Gutes und umfangreiches Frühstücksbüffet für 10€ extra. Ruhiges Zimmer mit ausreichend Platz, Bett eher schmal aber bequem. Auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen!

Das Hotel an sich ist völlig in Ordnung, der Service ist nicht gut. Das Frühstücksbuffet - pro Person 10€ - war sehr enttäuschend im Service; die Tische wurden nicht abgeräumt, es gab keine Teekännchen, keine losen Tee - nur Beuteltee. Eierlöffel mussten angefragt werden, ebenso Müslischälchen. Reklamationen wurden negativ bewertet "ja, der Kunde hat halt immer Recht". Schade, so gewinnt man mich nicht als Kunden, auch nicht als Jemanden, der das Hotel weiter empfiehlt. Noch eine Anmerkung zum Zimmer: die Betten sind zum Fernsehen völlig ungeeignet - da ein Holzbrett im 90°- Winkel im Rücken. Selbst eine viertel Stunde Nachrichten gucken bescheren dann schon ziemliche Rückenschmerzen.

Positiv: Sehr nettes Hotelpersonal, Bad war ziemlich neu, Bett sehr gemütlich, Decken könnten für mich (1,92) etwas länger sein. Zimmer ausreichend groß. Hotel insgesamt zweckmäßig. Lage ist perfekt. Frühstück haben wir nicht genutzt, Restaurant sieht aber nett aus vom Ambiente her und Preis schien in Ordnung, wir waren aber stets auswärts eingeladen. (Hätte es eigentlich gerne ausprobiert) Verbesserungswürdig: Duschvorhang unvorteilhaft, setzt das Bad unter Wasser. Kirchen sind leider recht laut hörbar, bei Zimmern die in Richtung Kirchen gehen, Ohropax empfehlenswert. Keine Klimaanlage, im Sommer sicherlich ein Problem.
