Independent hotels in Gould City, Michigan

"Ive probably only stayed at about a handful kf motels in my whole life, always choosing to stay at hotels. But this was a last minute trip on a holiday weekend with very few places having availability. Reviews were good here so thought i would give it a try. Was presently surprised how nice it was. Older motel that has been recently updated. Bathroom had newer hardware. Room had new windows, you could tell the owner put money into fixing up the motel. The owner was super nice checking us in and out the next morning. They had coffee, fruit and bars in the lobby in the morning. Bed in the room was a little hard for us but i know everyone has there own preferences when it comes to beds. Towels were a bit threadbare so i would recommend thise get updated soon. Room was clean and we felt very safe. There was a big storm that knocked out power in the middle of the night so the internet was out in town, but nothing he could have done about that. Overall if i ever come back to this area i will stay here again and will recommend to others. "
