This house was perfect for a larger group of friends. Plenty of beds, a roomy living room, and a fire pit out back. Was a short ride into Scranton and breweries. You will have to bring your own sheets, towels, and toiletries though, but they were upfront about that. We very much enjoyed our stay.
This house was awesome. Spacious for everyone, full of fun activities, and a great place to stay for the weekend. We went for a bachelorette weekend and it was nothing short of a great time!
We had a wonderful stay at the pocono home. The house was very spacious for 9 adults. Love the availability of the kayaks and canoes. We all had alot of fun on the water. Nights were spent around the fire pit watching the wildlife.
Such an amazing property... great cottage feel, had everything we wanted, plenty of space, lots to do! Really nice to be able to use the community pool as well. Would definitely book it again.
Big house with plenty of space to spread out for our group of three families. Convenient drive to Montage Ski Resort. House is well stocked with games and plenty to do with the pool table, ping pong and hot tub. Owner was very responsive which made for a relaxing trip. Highly recommend!
Our family had a wonderful stay. The location is quiet and the house was a great size for our family. Plenty of games, and indoor activities! The owner was very helpful and communicated with us.
Beautiful location and we were visited by a few deers in the morning! I would definitely recommend this house for families
The entire family had a great time. The accommodations were spacious and perfect for everyone from an infant to a great-grandmother! We were surprised at first that there was no air conditioning, but the fans and beautiful wooded lot made everything very comfortable. Would go back in a heartbeat!
Lovely house big enough for our family of 8. So much to do at the house and on the lake. We made daily use of the kayaks and canoes and enjoyed fishing right from the river bank. Thanks to Joe & Leanne for sharing your beautiful home! Looking forward to staying again
Went away with our extended family for a Christmas getaway and it was perfect for what we needed! Loved the open floor plan so we could be in the kitchen and still interact with those on the couch. Loved the space in the basement for games. Very spacious, 11 of us and we never felt on top of eachother. The only minor inconvenience was the beds being very hard and uncomfortable to sleep. Overall we had a wonderful family trip and would 100% Stay there again!
Met two other families here for a great, relaxing trip. The weather kept us in every afternoon, but we didn't mind. The teenagers played chess on the screened in porch, the younger kids played hide and seek on three floors, and the adults completed puzzles and cooked food. The rules for the lake were a slight inconvenience, which is why one category is 4 out of 5. Highly recommend!
Our family took a ski trip for my son’s senior year. The weather was awful, but we managed to get one day to ski. The house was great. Lots of space and yet cozy. Plenty to do even when we were stuck inside due to rain. The property manager was responsive and helpful. The kitchen has every tool you can think of to cook meals if you wish.
Many things to do for kids and teens, as well as a canoe and kayaks - included. Secluded w/much distance from neighboring homes, which were not visible.
We had some family problems while there, and received great assistance by the owners, who were friendly and very helpful! They turned a problem into an unqualified success!
We enjoyed our stay. Very quiet and relaxing. Would be a difficult walk to the water on the property if you were elderly. Fishing wasn't great when we were there. Otherwise it's a great property. Owners were very responsive. Make sure to read all they send before you go. The gatehouse where you check in isn't on the same road as the house.
We stayed in this property for a weekend to celebrate my husband’s and my 40th birthdays with friends! It was absolutely perfect! The amenities included a spacious hot tub, high quality sauna, kayaks/canoes just a few steps in front of the house and game room. The lay out was well thought out for groups of 12 as the upstairs and downstairs had plenty to offer and plenty of sleeping space. We all enjoyed our stay thoroughly. The price was extremely reasonable and we did save money by opting to bring our own linens. Linens are available to order from the association for an additional cost. Joe, the owner was very friendly and helpful. -Katie
Place is really nice and have a rustic look and feel to it
The place is really nice and has a rustic look and feel to it. We used the hot tub, wood stove, and kayak in the lake. We wanted to use outside firepit but ran out of time. There was only 3 couple on our trip so we all ended up taking each floor and each floor has its own bathroom so that was nice not sharing lol. There are 6 rooms so definitely would have accomodated a lot more people than 6. Billiards, foosball and table tennis we used as well. Place needs a chalk for billiards but other than that our stay was great! I do recommend the place and we intend to come back with a bigger group!
The rental was decent overall, but we did experience some disappointments. We stayed here to celebrate my sister’s 30th birthday and enjoyed skiing and snowboarding during our trip. The house itself was very nice and contributed to a good time, but there were a few issues that impacted our stay.First, the hot tub wasn’t ready when we arrived. It was at 67 degrees and didn’t reach a usable temperature until the second night. On top of that, there was no hot water for showers on the first night, which was frustrating. While the hosts came out to resolve the issue, they should have made sure this wasn’t a problem before our arrival, especially considering the price we paid.Additionally, the HOA rules for this property were a bit strict. You’re required to provide the names of all guests (maximum 12), check in at a gatehouse for parking passes, and ensure compliance to avoid fines. Guests are also required to take all garbage to the dump (a five minute drive) after their stay or face a 25 per bag fee from the host. Finally, you either need to rent or bring your own bed sheets, which felt inconvenient.Overall, the house was nice, but these issues detracted from the experience. I certainly give it credit for being pet friendly though (20 a day for our dog which was fair).
The house was very nice! Host very attentive! A few things needed some attention like light bulbs needed replacing, front porch light sensors need to come on faster, hot tub water was dirty and unfortunately our last day we found bed bugs!
The house was spacious and clean. We had a very relaxing vacation and the house made it even better. The kids had games to play and there were books for the whole family to read on a rainy day. It was such a wonderful week.
The property is lovely and nestled in the woods. A short walk down to the water which is perfect for kayaking/paddleboarding. The owner is very helpful and responsive. We had a lovely stay!
