  • Stay in our cozy camper five minutes from the Schoodic area of Acadia National Park where you can drive the Schoodic Loop Road with spectacular views of the rugged coastline and islands. Hike or bike the trails, enjoy wildlife watching or fishing as well.

    At the southern tip of Schoodic Peninsula is Schoodic Point, quite possibly the prettiest spot in all of Acadia National Park. And since it's located in the Schoodic portion of one of the most visited national parks in the US, it only sees about 10% of the tourist traffic the main area of the park on Mt. Desert Island sees.

Nice alternative to camping. Location is ideal for Schoodic pennisula/ Acadia National Park. Only about 45 minutes to MDI Visitor Center which offers great free shuttle service. Setting is nice with lovely woods along with the feeling of privacy. Well equipped kitchen with water kettle as well as coffee maker and a microwave, convection oven & air fryer combo. Small refrigerator; a large cooler's worth of food could be a squeeze. Very helpful host. Lastly for EV users, the Acadia Gateway Center in Trenton just before MDI has a bank of CCS Charge Point chargers. There are two Level 2 chargers in SW Harbor near the restrooms in the public parking area off of Main Street (nr. the police station) which one may not find on certain apps which accept charge cards (no separate app. needed).

Relaxing Stay

We enjoyed our stay at the Hummingbird. It was relaxing and Stephanie was a great host! The camper was exactly as described in the listing. Would definitely recommend staying here.

The trailer was well equipped, had lots of hot water and the heater worked great. Stephanie was very nice and helpful. If you’re exploring the Schoodic Peninsula, which is beautiful, this is a great spot!

Wonderful getaway

The Hummingbird is a perfect little spot in the woods. It’s a good place to sit outside by the fire in the evenings, and close enough to all the beauty of Acadia National Park to be able to ride , walk, or play all day.

Quiet getaway

This camper was in a very quiet location and had stargazing opportunities. Make sure you like who you're staying with, because it is tight in there, but very clean and everything worked well and it was exactly as advertised.

Quiet little getaway

This is a Hummingbird RV very well furnished on the property of owner. Everything was very clean and well organized. It had everything I was looking for in a quiet place to stay in the vicinity of Acadia and MDI. The Schoodic Peninsula is lovely and uncrowded and the perfect place to be without the crowds of Bar Harbir. Stephanie was the perfect host- answered all my questions, suggested places to eat and see and even left treats.

The Hummingbird was super cute and and in the perfect spot. Traveling to my destinations was easy from this central spot I would say it's perfect for one! Cozy but smaller than I thought.

Great Spot for Exploring Acadia

The camper is small, but more than enough for one or two people. Both areas of Acadia are less than an hours drive and there are some great seafood stands nearby. The location is peaceful and offers a nice parking area. I was the first renter of the season and the camper was a little dirty but nothing that would stop me from recommending this to others!

Great Stay!

My gf and I stood here while we were visiting Acadia and our accommodations couldn't have been better! Stephanie's great, she provided all we needed to ensure we were comfortable during our time here, including a detailed guide of local attractions and places to visit. She was also extremely quick to respond to any questions we had before and during our stay. The Hummingbird itself is a bit small inside, but otherwise fit our needs perfectly. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay near Acadia!

This location is perfect and a beautiful piece of property! The privacy is nice but also nice to have the option the just walk over if anything is needed. Verly highly recommended and we will definitely be back again!!!! P.S. the veggies were amazing!!!!!

Amazing relaxing stay

Property was easy to find. It was amazing having a fire and the complete relaxing experience. So many things to do and see in a short distance!!! Bar harbor, Acadia schoodic loop, restaurants and wineries!!! The host was exceptional helped us to steam lobsters and shared great places to see!! Bonfire pit was great !!! We stayed other places on the route north but stayed here several because we loved it sooo much !!! We will back ❤️ property is beautiful and breathtaking!!! Best vacation and experience in years highly recommend!!

This is a very nice place to stay for a couple of days. We stayed for 5 nights and it great except for the rain, no ones fault on that. It is a small place for two people but still very nice. Stephanie was always available and very easy to work with, the muffins were a very nice touch, thank you. The bed was very comfortable, we traveled from Indiana and it was the best so far on out trip! I have a bad back so this made it enter for me. We would recommend this to anyone heading to Maine! Thank you Stephanie!
