Second year in a row!

Great stay. We enjoyed the well-stocked house and spaces for kids to hang. The fireplace comes in handy to dry wet ski gear.

Wonderful Cabin

We had a group of 14 people that stayed at this cabin for a ski/snowboarding trip. The size was perfect, we never felt cramped and everyone was able to get their own bed.

Keep in mind when booking, the description in the ad says that the beds in the rooms are queens... The are full size not queen. The kitchen is well equipped.Property was clean. It snowed a lot while we stayed ant the hill out front was a great activity spot for sledding and playing in the snow. Would recommend and stay again.

However it was a little disappointing to see some of the private bedrooms having double-bed sized futons vs actual beds. This was unfortunate, I understand futons as extra beds but not as the primary bed in a bedroom. Because of this we had a few unhappy guests. I likely wouldn't stay here again unless this was changed.

Lovely place

Terrific place for a large family. Lots of room, cozy, warm, good kitchen items for cooking, baking. Glad to see snowplows when the snow was accumulating fast.

Excellent house to play in the snow outside the backyard

Great clean house. The location is key for wanting to sled outside in the backyard! The kitchen was well stocked and ample room for the whole family! We stayed here 2 years back to back and the price went up significantly from the last stay but no new additions to the house which we were hoping some furniture would get replace from being worn out. Other than that no complaints!

Snow Tubing Time

Every year about this time, I book a large home in Government Camp for my extended family and myself so we can go snow tubing. The house was perfect for our needs and allowed everyone room to spread out and not feel confined. I definitely appreciated the kitchen with all of its necessary tools for our cooking efforts. I definitely recommend this home for those in a similar situation. The location was in close proximity to downtown Government Camp, and we were easily able to walk to town for any needs at the local general store.Thanks so much for sharing this home with us!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It’s a great location and perfect house for a large group. The kitchen has enough supplies to feed the amount of people that can sleep there in a lot of rentals we have found that is not true. They have a great place to sled on the side of the house where a lot of kids in the neighborhood was doing so.I would say that the sheets needed to be updated in the house and things like missing hand soap in the bathrooms and a dust pan has never been supplied, but a broom has and I’d like to see some sponges or something wash dishes with. That is the only recommendations I make for this unit.

Snow Vacay

We loved our stay at Lampstand! Plenty of room for a family reunion. Listing said rooms had queen beds, we were disappointed to find some of the rooms with only full beds. Other than that, our stay was great!

Christmas at Lampstand

It would be more comfortable if the futons were replaced with real beds. This is our third time staying there and we don't rest well on the futons. We always wake up sore. Also, all the salt and pepper containers were empty. Lol, we didn't anticipate needing bring any. any.

We all had ample space to sleep and hang out, and it was walking distance from the town. It was easy to get in and out of the location. We did run into some issues with the parking as the driveway was covered in snow and at an angle, so we were unable to pull fully in, and had a hard time getting our cars out. In the summer you'd be fine!

Family Thanksgiving

Perfect house for large family or group. Kitchen was well stocked with almost too many things, which left little room for food storage. Beds were uncomfortable, but warm. Bath Towels were 2 per bathroom, which wasn’t enough for our party of 10. Luckily we brought extra towels for the children.We had difficulty when leaving locking the front door. Management suggested we leave through garage which we did, but garage door opener wouldn’t close. A little maintenance is all our stay need. We would definitely stay

Summer 2024 - Large Group Stay

We stayed here with a group of 12 for a starting point before the 2024 Hood to Coast Relay. The house was very comfortable and well-equipped to handle a group of that size for multiple days. It is also a great location to quickly get to the start of the relay. Note that this property is very close to the highway, but that was a bit of a benefit for our needs. We would certainly stay here again.

Great location and great support

The stay was great. The location across from Mt Hood Village is perfect especially considering ski lift right across the street. The staff at management were incredible at replying and I really appreciate the flexible ability of the Management company for sudden changes in check in time, check out time, dogs added, subtracted ect The only areas of improvement I can suggest are the following two 1) The Living room couch, loveseat and beds are incredibly worn out. There's is nearly zero cushion left in the couches which is understandable to a degree but not to the point where guest would rather sit on Kitchen chairs instead. 2) The hot water from the Kitchen sink is not calibrated to 160°F (70°C) max temp prevent burns. It's much higher as my guest found out when washing dishes. This should be addressed as soon as possible for everyone's safety and its an easy fix. Thank you again.

Wonderful Cabin

Everything about the cabin was wonderful but they had a winter storm that took out the electricity for four days up at government camp. Therefore we had to leave. I can’t wait to go back for a weekend with my family at the same place.

Wonderful cabin in great neighborhood

We loved our stay at this cabin. It was one of the few to have so many bathrooms and 5-6 rooms, for a comfortable stay for all the family, the 2 dining tables gave adequate room for large family dinners, and everything was clean and comfortable. Would recommend as a great affordable option for large groups

Family Thanksgiving

The house was great except for the lack of cable TV access. The owner shut off their Dish subscription and didn't tell the management company. Mngmnt tried to fix it with a ROKU stick but it was a scramble to try to watch football on the holiday weekend. The house was great for cousins to gather upstairs and a large living room allowed the adults to have their own space.

Great Group Lodge

The lodge was just as described. Easy to find, across the street from services. It was clean and well supplied. The log-cabin styling and modern fixtures were comfy and luxurious.
