"It was so joyful being with another couple and our dogs so close to the beach and services. The power went out and the host immediately showed up to make sure we had matches for candles, he said ‘it’ll likely comeback on shortly’. Lit candles were almost Immediately extinguished when the power returned. Crystal clear plunge pool. 5 gallons of water, amazing upper deck off master….much much more in a cozy space by the ocean. Thank you"

"This was our second visit to Eleuthera, and our first time staying at this property. I mention that we have been to Eleuthera previously as we have a reference point for quality standards from a prior property we stayed at, and are aware of some of the infrastructure limitations that are present on Eleuthera. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend this property and will not be returning in the future.The bad:- We had to involve police due to a bag that was stolen from the poolside by maintenance staff on property. It was thrown into the woods (see photo). This resulted in us feeling unsafe to stay on the property (particularly with an infant), and needing to relocate to a hotel for the last night of the trip.- The property is in need of major maintenance (see photos). Windows that did not open, multiple missing light bulbs, cracked and damaged cabinets, almost no water pressure.- We did not have power for two nights, and did not have water for one day.- There is a major cockroach problem in the main house where the kitchen is. We found cockroaches in our food multiple times.The good:- Beautiful beach location- Great property set-up for a larger family- Christine provided excellent daily maid service- Property managers were responsive to textUpdate: When concerns were expressed to the property owner, a small monetary compensation was offered (that did not cover the cost of the hotel we needed to stay in for the last night). "

"We enjoyed our stay in kookaburra studio apartment. The room was clean and we had all the amenities we needed. The beach chairs and cooler that were provided were a nice surprise. Small issue and they were right there to take care of it. Great location. Can easily travel from north to south end. We did not use the pool because we were exploring and on the beaches but it is there and maintained if you care to. Also, beautiful sunset right across the street. Would stay there again. "

"We have stayed at a few different house on the island and this was far and a way the best. You are right on an incredible sand beach and the pool looks over it. The house itself is very well kept and comfortable. We ran into a bit of an “island snafu” and both the owner and property manager were very concerned and helpful. The only comment that I might make is the title of the listing uses the word private. You definitely have neighbors, but your lot is large enough. We will be back!"
